In the Bible it says that his disciples can heal people if they have enough faith and that the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains. So why do you automatically assume anyone who heals people is a false prophet? Maybe the same reason you shouldn't believe anyone can heal people.... its not possible?

I am not a catholic and have no idea about these medals, but I bought one for my catholic husband as a gift. Is it more appropriate to have the medal blessed in the church before giving it to him?

I live in a apartemnt complex and right across the hall from me is a Indian couple. They seem very nice but I have a concern about some things thay are doing that I believe may be connected to their beliefs. They have a swastika hanging up on their door that we have to look at everytime we enter our apartment but I don't think it is meant to represent anything bad in their belief. But now they have lit a candle outside of their door with powder all around the door. What other people do in their OWN home is their business but we are sharing a common hallway that myself and family use as well. Everytime someone comes over to visit me they feel kinda uneasy because they don't know if it's voodoo or something that is evil. I am not one to judge but like I said before, we share a common area that everyone uses. Can anyone give any advice on how to handle this?

As I was driving I caught something on the radio saying that the Founding Fathers of the U.S. refused to let Muslim set up mosque in the U.S. as the principles of their religion went against freedom of religion for all others as the princilpal of their religion is for everyone to become Muslims.
Has anyone else heard this or know it to be true and if so how was the Founding Fathers involved?

...do you mean all religions---or just the Christian ones? Be honest.

And I'm not asking this to be confrontational, I swear. I just want to get people's insight. So, do you really feel that Christianity, Buddhism, Wicca, Catholicism, etc. are all brainwashing?

Is it true? When John the Baptizer is in prison, he begins to doubt whether he was right about Jesus, namely, that Jesus was the Messiah

Most people who follow religion closely will say "god is real, he saved me" or some **** like that. But Muslims say they "feel" Alah, and Christians say they "feel" their God. So which one's real? I personally am an agnostic. Just wanted to read your thoughts on this.

I dont believe in god but I would like to. I cant help but take a step back and look at christianity from an open minded point of view. Since the beginning of man kind, almost every single group of human from anytime periods created their own gods. It is easy to see why humans would want a god: to make their lives seem important and to not fear death. I think it is instinctual to want a god. Even animals like to have a leader or another to look up to. Out of all the people and civilizations that existed before why should people trust christianity out off all others. Christianity has spead though war and politics and it seem to me that everyone that follows this religon do so because they were simply born into it. And I noticed Christians refuse to explore other religon which makes them even harder to trust. What advise would you have to people that have these concerns

I'm a Christian, and I enjoy answering questions and reading others answers on this site. One thing that bothers me about a lot of the Christians' answers is that they often don't look to the root of the problem/question. Often the Christians who answer give what I call "church" answers. As a non-believer, are you more willing to accept an answer from a Christian if it uses common sense first then addresses the Christian aspect of the answer? Please no comments like, "Christians and common sense don't exist" or something along that line.

This is a two parter...pls answer only if you believe in both
1) Do you believe that god created the earth in 6 days (7th day for rest)?
2) Do you believe that dinosaurs once roamed the earth?

How is this possible if dinosaurs supposedly roamed the earth millions of years before man came along, yet man was created on the 6th day?

(This is a question I have asked to many different religions since I first thought of it as a kid, I have my own theory but am curious as to other ppls.)

I'm just trying to make some sense out of life. Televangelism seems to promise everything including a kitchen sink.

When the asociation is nowhere to be found in the bible? They wanted to rape the angels, right, but angels are sexless! If anything they look female. Besides, the bible never cites the sins commited by the people of sodoma, besides (ATTEMPTED) rape of individuals of ambiguous gender. Isn't it all a great manipulation by the church to propagare homophobia and hate?

Why are there so many fanatical religious people

I'm sorry but it's like there brainwashed.. they have a pre written answer for everything

they think .. you have pre marital sex your going to hell.. gays are going to hell.... if you don't give yourself to the lord your going to hell...

just all seemes very narrow minded to me

If your a good person that's that period, regardless of personal choice.

Two women or two men who love eachother intimatly aren't sinning. These people feel love and thats beautiful..

I'm not gay

but it is very sad to hear how people rip on eachother.

I'm all for religion.. just not fanatics.. and that goes for those on the other end too..

lets be realistic and excepting/tolerant of everyone

ps.. no I didn't spell check or even read this over.. so don't get on me about that
