Why are there so many fanatical religious people

I'm sorry but it's like there brainwashed.. they have a pre written answer for everything

they think .. you have pre marital sex your going to hell.. gays are going to hell.... if you don't give yourself to the lord your going to hell...

just all seemes very narrow minded to me

If your a good person that's that period, regardless of personal choice.

Two women or two men who love eachother intimatly aren't sinning. These people feel love and thats beautiful..

I'm not gay

but it is very sad to hear how people rip on eachother.

I'm all for religion.. just not fanatics.. and that goes for those on the other end too..

lets be realistic and excepting/tolerant of everyone

ps.. no I didn't spell check or even read this over.. so don't get on me about that

I've been saying the same exact thing as you have but as you notice we will be persecuted for our believes. Religious people feel superior to us pagans and mystics. I would rather burn in hell then in heaven with these overly religious People, being with them in heaven would be our hell.

First (even though you may have heard this before), love the sinner, hate the sin.

The sins of premarital sex and homosexually will send you to Hell if you are not repentent of them and don't stop doing them. God has very clear rules about sex. He gave it to married male/female couples as a sacred celebration of their love for each other and their love for God, as well as a sharing in God's creative power by the miracle of children. Homosexuality does not produce children. Period.

Being a good person is a start. God will judge someone according to what they know. If a person lived their life on a desert island and never learned of Jesus, but they had some sense of right and wrong, they will be judged by what they knew. Same as a Christian who studied Jesus all of their life will be judged by what they know.

Personal choice is everything. I can be a good person and not steal or tell lies, but if I spend my weekends as a serial killer, I'm not going to heaven. Personal choice means choosing Jesus and then following Him and rejecting all that is against Him.

By rejecting sin (premarital sex, homosexuality), I am not being intolerant, I am actually promoting love. How? I am trying to show them Jesus, Who is love. How can someone's life be bad by having Him Who is love in it?

God bless.

What you say i haven't carried out. Am I an atheist definite, do i think of all christians are idiots, of path no longer. i think each and every physique has the impressive to their theory and that i appreciate that whether i do no longer appreciate a particular religions edicts and policies; nor if i think of their deity. i exploit a similar data they declare helps a deity to declare ..wait a minute, that is not adequate or perplexing adequate data to declare that it incredibly is. might desire to my assessment be incorrect - definite and that i continually pass away room for that, yet i'm going to stand up for my very own conclusions in simple terms like all people else will. I provide my opinion, yet i do no longer assume to alter any minds - that may no longer my objective in any case. I in simple terms think of my "voice" alongside with others, has a top to be heard.

I also believe that Christians have been brainwashed with their memorized answers for everything. They forget that the answer to every sin is love. Being gay is no different than adultry or lying. (However, I do believe that homosexuality is a sin). I think it is absolutely wrong to judge anyone. Jesus died for our sins and they are taken care of. So, we are all the same. We each have to answer for ourselves not eachother. So, I for one am not concerned with the sins of others, but my own. If someone chooses to be gay, then they have not been shown another way by God yet and Christians shouls love everyone not obstruct God's plans.

Hello Tripod... :)

First you have it wrong, Christians are not brainwashed..We are HEART WASHED.. :)

Sin is sin..lying is just as wrong as murder in God's eyes..

If a man was made to be with a man..why are there women..

If a woman was made to be with a woman, then why are there men..

How would we be able to have children, if everyone decided to only be with their own sex..

If you only stop and think about it..how can you get a sexual disease if you do not have sex...

Also if you have sex with someone with whom you are not married to, how many times has that person had sex with someone else, and the next person, it goes on and on..until you find out that there may be hundreds of people that have been involved..Could that possibly be where diseases come from..

This is being realistic..is it not...

I for one want to know that my husband was clean and safe, because he has not slept around before me.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Thanks for your question. I would like to begin by saying that I have every reason to be angry with God, I lost both my parents at a young age. I'm also the type of person that it takes a lot of proving to me to make me believe something .. I guess I was a realist in my day, but I just want to tell you from experience that nobody could ever brain wash me in believing anything but I'm standing here to tell you that believing is feeling ... you feel the presence of the Lord deep within your being. When ever one door shuts another one opens..... this is my testimony. I would encourage you to seek out a good Christian Church , one that preaches our resurrected Christ

It's the only trick left in the basket for the "right".

How else will they justify men "ruling" the roost? What would happen if legal partnerships would consider both members equal?

Let me guess, chaos would reign?

obviously you do not know the difference between what is good and what is evil. You're all for religion, yet you don't have a clue. Times are coming when you will need to be extreme to prevent yourself from being harmed physiologically and physically by the extremists.

Our society has become a disposable one. You buy something, use it till it's worn out a little, then get another, bigger better one. Instant gratification. People are like that with religion. They want instant answers and instant understanding. They figure it's lastest 2000 years and their parents believed it so they should too.
