Current thinking is, 'Im not going out of my way for that person...what have they done for me anyway?' That's not the way Jesus thought. He showed us love FIRST. It is exactly this overwhelming love that draws people to him.

You could even take it back one step further, if you were a serial killer, is it arrogant to assume that some guy named God created you to live? No, we know we were created. So God lets you make choices. We also know Jesus died for us, and you are free to CHOOSE to believe in him or not.

Why did Jesus die though? Jesus died and gave his perfect human life and blood to purchase back from God what Adam lost for us by sinning (which was supposed to be living forever in a earth wide sanctuary). The bible speaks of an actual transaction in heaven where Jesus presented the 'value' of his blood to God.

So Jesus didn't die for your specific sins or my specific sins in particular, but he loves human kind in general and wanted to give everyone the chance to have back what Adam lost as well as to have a relationship with their creator DESPITE inheriting sin and imperfection and death from Adam. That's why we pray IN JESUS name...we aren't fit in our present state (any of us) to approach God directly. IF people truly feel sorry and quit doing the bad stuff on purpose, then they can take advantage of the possibilities of having a relationship with god that Jesus death has openened up to them, and in the future, will inherit all the things that adam lost.

No it is not arrogant, it is true. The problems lies with society thinking that a psychopath can be rehabilitated and reintroduced into society. When someone's head is that messed up they have been developing that sickness for a long time. Some since early childhood. If they had that litle thought for God and where their eternal soul would go they would have never walked down the path of violence they chose to walk. Each time they kill it becomes easier because they learn to dehumanize their victims. By that point they are beyond rehab. God would have already turned them over to a reprobate heart.

Jesus died for everyone's sins. In God's eyes a white lie is the same as a murder....a sin is a sin. To accept Christ as one's Savior means not only does He forgive your sins, He forgets them as well. Then, after you are born again and you do slip up and sin, ask God for forgiveness . Once your saved, you will still sin but much less often.People sin on their own free will before being saved. After being saved, Satan steps in and tempts the Christian because he knows he lost your soul and will try as hard as he can to win it back. But ,with God's help, Satan is defeated.

Yes, it is a Biblical misconception.
Jesus died for the Chosen The father gave to him

Read John 17 vs9 "Jesus said-I pray for them, I pray not for the world, but for them that thou hast given me. For they are thine.

Would Jesus have died for a serial killer, Absolutely, if he were chosen.

There are no good men and the wages of sin is death. we are all guilty. Sin is Sin is Sin.

But those that hearken to his word and hide it in their hearts are his.

Not necessarily. Look at the Son of Sam. He is a notorious serial killer. Now, he is a born again Christian in the jail he is in and runs a very successful prison ministry. Jesus died for the serial killers sins just as much as he did for you and me.

it is extra conceited to imagine that something you do will supercede Jesus' paintings on the flow. conceited might want to signify something you probably did kept you. no longer something you probably did kept you or despatched you to hell. it is what grace is. You get what you do not deserve. And peace. that you do not get what you do deserve. understanding you would possibly want to be a serial killer and not in any respect be punished for it in the top does no longer make all of us opt to be one. I wager the overall public of the psychos were delivered up with non secular worry and condemnation.

If you were a serial-killer, then you probably wouldn't believe in him anyways. Read the Ten Commandments, number 7 (I think, haven't looked at Exodus in a while) says, in black and white, "You shall not murder".

Not arrogant, While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
He doesn't wait around for you to get your ducks in a row and "be good" He came and died for the sins past present and future. God desires to see no man perish but for all to come to Him thru Christ. Even the unibomber, even Timothy McVey. If they'd given their lives to Christ they'd be inHeaven, in Glory right now and I'd gladly see them there.

Very good point. Also, if Jesus was a good or fair person, would he really forgive the sins of truly evil people and make them enter heaven as if they are like people who have been angel-like all their lives?!
