As I was driving I caught something on the radio saying that the Founding Fathers of the U.S. refused to let Muslim set up mosque in the U.S. as the principles of their religion went against freedom of religion for all others as the princilpal of their religion is for everyone to become Muslims.
Has anyone else heard this or know it to be true and if so how was the Founding Fathers involved?

No I haven't.

But wouldn't that mean that the founding fathers were contradicting their own laws by banning islam?

I seriously doubt it since the reason many came here from Europe was for freedom of religion. The separation of church and state (i.e non-government sanctioned religion) is one of the cornerstones of this country so it would not make sense that they would refuse to let muslims set up a mosque.

I seriously doubt the founding fathers of the U.S. were much aware of Islam at all. They were much too occupied with gaining independance and forming a new nation. Also, one of the corner stones of our constitution is the separation of church and state. So, I doubt B. Franklin and the rest would deny or encourage any religous affiliation in any official capacity. But it is an interesting question. I wonder just how aware the founders were of Islam, and what their thoughts were on the subject? If you find out share it with us.

The structure develop into written so our new united states of america might want to understand our rights, jointly with authentic to faith. u.s. isn't a Christian united states of america. The Founding Fathers would were Christian themselves, yet they considered the actual undeniable actuality that some people would position self belief in different religions besides Christianity.

it's just false that most of the founding fathers were deists. There were a few yes, but most is highly inaccurate.

The only reasonable answer to this question is "change channels".

You were obviously listening to a right-wing propaganda station. They're all over the place.
