of the Muslims, who with their mouths say" we are a peaceful religion", but with their actions prove that they are as full of the intolerance and evil as the Catholic Church during her reign of terror?
It makes no sense to say "we are peaceful" when in all actuallity, you Muslims are as insane as the hypocrites of Christendom.
You, not only kill each other Muslims(as Christians kill other Christians),you lyingly say that you are "peaceful".
Is there anybody on earth that you really think you are fooling?
(the Q is for both Muslims and Christians).

Islam is above criticism...its true...watch the Pope grovel. Where is Hirsam Ali, the brave dutch woman who spoke out against Islamic oppresion of woman in Africa? She is was forced to leave the government even though she was loved by the people.

Wheres the cartoonists? Hidden forever...never to have a normal life again...if they live! Its a fact that most Muslims still believe those cartoonists should be killed....its not even an issue for debate...and absolute for them.

Tell me, what journalist has the balls to do any analysis of any part of the hidden Islamic world? None do...none.

While all other beliefs get bashed and put through the free speech grinder...Islam remains untouched...thats a fact....

How many Christian bashing movies and musicals have been made (last temptation, J. Superstar)? All other religions and beliefs are regulared roasted, as it should be, except Islam.

Over the long run...thats a HUUGGGGE ADVANTAGE.

Blame the cowardly PC culture we live in.

The Self is one. Ever still, the Self is
Swifter than thought, swifter than the senses.
Though motionless, he outruns all pursuit.
Without the Self, never could life exist.

do you cherish your bible? do you read your bible?
if you cherish your bible, which often contains notes, thoughts and even family histories, then you are in the same boat as the Rcc. we too cherish that which makes our walk with God more visible.
when you read your Bible do you not get images in your mind? are you then creating a false image? words were given as a gift to portray the reality of images that were reality. words paint a picture - create a scene. pictures and scenes are images. in the past most Christians could not read, pictures helped them to understand, to remember & recall.

when my home flooded, while i was quite saddened by the loss of numerous "items" i'm thankful - i never cried. nothing of any consiquence was lost - neither a life nor my faith. things do not make ones faith, but some things can help you remember when (as humans it happens) we start to loose our way.
YSIC & God bless you all.

One of the first to articulate the theology in Christianity was St Paul whose reference to the Unknown God in the book of Acts (Acts 17:23) is the foundation of works such as that of Pseudo Dionysius. This is as Pseudo Dionysius so describes. Exemplars of the via negativa, the Cappadocian Fathers of the 4th century said that they believed in God, but they did not believe that God exists. In contrast, making positive statements about the nature of God, which occurs in most other forms of Christian theology, is sometimes called 'kataphatic theology'. Adherents of the apophatic tradition hold that God is beyond the limits of what humans can understand, and that one should not seek God by means of intellectual understanding, but through a direct experience of the love (in Western Christianity) or the Energies (in Eastern Christianity) of God. Apophatic theology can be also seen as an oral tradition. "It must also be recognized that "forgery" is a modern notion. Like Plotinus and the Cappadocians before him, Dionysius does not claim to be an innovator, but rather a communicator of a tradition." [1]

Negative theology played an important role early in the history of Christianity. Like in the works of Clement of Alexandria. Three more theologians who emphasized the importance of negative theology to an orthodox understanding of God, were Gregory the Theologian, John Chrysostom, and Basil the Great. John of Damascus employed it when he wrote that positive statements about God reveal "not the nature, but the things around the nature." It continues to be prominent in Eastern Christianity (see Gregory Palamas), and is used to balance kataphatic theology. Apophatic statements are crucial to much theology in Orthodox Christianity.

Negative theology has a place in the Western Christian tradition as well, although it is definitely much more of a counter-current to the prevailing positive or cataphatic traditions central to Western Christianity. For example, theologians like Meister Eckhart and St. John of the Cross (San Juan de la Cruz), mentioned above, exemplify some aspects of or tendencies towards the apophatic tradition in the West. The Cloud of Unknowing (author unknown) and St John's Dark Night of the Soul are particularly well-known in the West.

So my question is What are you going to tell Our Father in Heaven on the judjement day ? I have been forgiven , my name is in the book of life . Or I just didn't believe or what ?

Jesus Christ shed His own blood for the remission of their sins & rose from the dead? That has been born of God. Now a child of God, inhereting the Kingdom of God?

Realizing that everlasting life is a free gift of God & not by works. One can not earn everlasting life, because even one sin will keep you out of heaven. God is Holy. There has to be an atonement for sin?

I have seen people in churches criticise others for not being what they thought these others should be - these people did not have their eyes on Jesus. I have seen others ape pastors and evangelists - who do these people have their eyes on?

If we keep our eyes on Jesus, we will become like Him. Those who look at us will see Jesus in us and we can direct them to look at Him.

Al-Qaida in Iraq warned Pope Benedict XVI on Monday that its war against Christianity and the West will go on until Islam takes over the world

"You infidels and despots, we will continue our jihad (holy war) and never stop until God avails us to chop your necks and raise the fluttering banner of monotheism, when God's rule is established governing all people and nations," said the statement by the Mujahedeen Shura Council, an umbrella organization of Sunni Arab extremist groups in Iraq.

Al-Qaida in Iraq said Muslims would be victorious and addressed the pope as "the worshipper of the cross" saying "you and the West are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and elsewhere. ... We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose the 'jizya' tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion (to Islam) or (being killed by) the sword."

Do you agree?

Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

3 He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.

8 By oppression [a] and judgment he was taken away.
And who can speak of his descendants?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was stricken. [b]

9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes [c] his life a guilt offering,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.

11 After the suffering of his soul,
he will see the light of life [d] and be satisfied [e] ;
by his knowledge [f] my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, [g]
and he will divide the spoils with the strong, [h]
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
