As a Christian, I am very isolated and very alone.
It has crossed my mind that our Lord may too, have suffered with lonleyness by His unique position in the world. I wonder if anyone else has the experience to answer this question in a way which is humbling and honest. Thank you. col <><

why would christians say then, jesus is the son of God, and the only way to heaven is through jesus. Why cant we all agree that there is only ONE, 1, UNO, one God, HE, HE is our CREATOR,His prophets did. We don't need any intermedeary to talk to God for us and to ask him for forgiveness for us, we can directly ask Him. He is always listening, He is the thrid party in every conversation so why do we need to ask someone earthly to forgive us and pass the message on to God. Please take a moment to think and ask yourself "Do I need to associate anyone with God, do I HAVE to confess my sins to someone who is just as capable as me to to commit sin and to have them forgive me? I mean, christian say jesus died for our sins, but what about his sin. When he asked God, "why have you foresaken me?" that is believe it or not Blasphemy!

I am not worried about it, nor am I a biggot, it was just a simple question. It doesn't matter to me if he is or isn't, it was merely a thought that crossed my mind...that's all!! I too can see all the good he has done for animals. And last but not least, I do have a life, I work with exotic animals everyday like he did, it's the best of lifes experiences for me, I am totally in awe of the animals I care for. I was completely shocked when I heard of his demise, and felt very sad . I know he will be terribly missed by many, and I am one of the many!!

Kent Hovind is a young earth creationist that goes around the country trying to debunk evolution. Problem is that Kent Hovind is a questionable man. He has no credentials in the topic. He claims to have a degree in education when in fact it is Christian Education. In fact, his degree is doubtful since he went to a college that's bein investigated for being a diploma mill and his dissertation is kept in secret unlike ALL academics from accredited institutions. More problematic is the fact that he outright lies and/or misleads in the topic of evolution, and even his own flock, creationists, often reject him (see: http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/dont_use.asp) as well other scientists/groups/people that accurately describe science (see: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/hovind/).

I guess it is okay though since we won't see him any time soon. He just recieved 52 federal felony charges for tax evasion (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_Hovind). So why believe in him?

I am sorry if I came across as judging him, I thought him to be a very admirable person. I was merely curious as to whether or not he practiced a christian belief. I deal with exotic animals myself on a day to day basis, so I do have and inkling as to what he was about. Again, I apologize if I came across as being so shallow. My heart goes out to his family...especially little Bindi Sue

Until the last century science and religion use to go hand and hand. You literally could not separate the two. In fact, most scientists pursued science in the name of understanding God. Newton wrote more about religion than he did about astronomy and mathematics. Kepler dedicated his life to God. etc..

What changed in the last century?

Im a christian, i believe Jesus was my savior and we were all created by God. However i also belive that God is a wonderful and Caring savior, in being so i cant possible see how he could condem a good person just because their faith lies somwhere else. So why cant we as christians just accept others and vise versa? Other religions are all about the same basic principles of love toward each other and faith in a higher power, so why cant we just look at the fundamentals and work toward a common goal of piece? People already twist religios documents around to fit thier particular needs and i guess this (to some) will seem no differnt, but why cant we all just accept 1) peace 2) caring for one another 3) the willingness to let others believe whatever they may as long as it doesnt involve killing or bashing others for there beliefs? lol i know this seems really stupid and WAY oversimplified but, well....One can always hope right?

I desire, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument; also that the women should dress themselves modestly and decently in suitable clothing, not with their hair braided, or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes, but with good works, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God. Let a woman learn in silence with full submission. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing, provided they continue in faith and love and holiness, with modesty. [1 Timothy, chapter 2]

"I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man." That is totally sexist! In America, there are millions of female teachers and we have women throughout our corporate and govenment hierarchies. No intelligent person believes that women should be silenced.

I have been physically abused at my residental school, i ve dealed with anxiety/panic attacks and i beat it. then i had a flight both ways. i was scared before that then beat it again then got scared again then beat it again . I ve been through alot! and i found myself wondering you know? doing it alone without any support (its true) my family refused to understand me what i ve gone through. so i did it alone and when they offered to help but i declined becuase all i know is that i do it myself thats what im good at. now im questioning my place on earth. I ve done all i can and I wondered alot. there is much more to me i want to tell. but this wil do ...i wonder if anyone of you had similar experience. thank you all! hope to talk to one of you. its like i came back from death and dont know what to do next ....
