I am sorry if I came across as judging him, I thought him to be a very admirable person. I was merely curious as to whether or not he practiced a christian belief. I deal with exotic animals myself on a day to day basis, so I do have and inkling as to what he was about. Again, I apologize if I came across as being so shallow. My heart goes out to his family...especially little Bindi Sue

Hey, its a valid question and one that I have thought about alot.I don't know whether he was or not he made a few references to GOD on his show but i never really heard any profession of faith from him.I really enjoyed his show and hope that he was a Christian. I continue to pray for his family and friends and hope that they will continue his work.

It's not so much that people were offended, it's the point that it shouldn't matter. Would you still like him just as much if he were Jewish? Buddhist? Agnostic? Hindu? The point some were trying to make in your last question was just that his spiritual beliefs may have been very private to him and it shouldn't matter to people how he chose to worship.

:-) Sorry if I came across as a crankypants in your last question. I know you didn't mean anything offensive. If it makes you feel better, I didn't mean for my answer to be offensive either.

why does it matter if he is a christian or not?

the main important thing that people seem to forget about all this is - we are all like him. And we will all die like him (sooner or later). He will go to wherever his thoughts of heaven to be are.

and so will you.

jeez... I actually thought he'd go off with a more violent end.

God was looking after him. It was quick. And he was doing what he loves doing when he passed on. lucky guy!

if it helps you to be a better person to others to know that he is in heaven, then hey, he's in heaven.

I think Steve was a man of science. Truth is... he probably couldnt accept the fact that the creation story was real if he wanted to understand about all the animals of the world, their past, present and future. It would have been illogical for him to study the animals with a closed mind.

sorry i didn't see the original question but i'm guessing someone got upset when you asked about irwins religion......i have no clue but if someone who gave so much of himself to the worlds hated and endangered species isn't by God's side (whatever his beliefs) i'd be shocked.

Someone a week ago stated that he was an atheist. But watching a show of his he said "Conservation is why God put me on the planet".
That doesn't make him a Christian but it doesn't make him an atheist either.
I hope he was.

I wouldn't worry about it. What a life he lived. What a positive charismatic guy he was. I'll miss him.
