I am Christian and I have liberal beliefs. My family is very much Democrat (though I am Libertarian) and they are also very Christian.

Most of the answerers think that if you are a Liberal (democrat), you can't be a True Christian.

So, tell me why and also point me in the direction where I can find out what political party Jesus Christ affiliated himself with. Thank you.

Oh, and those who like to leave biting remarks, don't be cowards, allow some contact through Y!Answers for people to rebut. Otherwise you just seem like little fat bullies who slap kids in the back of the head and run behind the teacher.

Okay you say we are all Christians here.
Yes if that were the case then why do some so-called Christians go to war and kill eachoter with a "so-called Priest" blessing the war - when God says you must not take up-arms? God says he hates violence so why do some "Christians" go to war" why are there so many religions and yet they all call themselves "Christians", why did Jesus only teach one truth? and about one God?
There is only one truth - the bible reveals it to us.

before people come on here and ridicule people who speak in tongues, you realize if you know a different language, you can speak in tongues? the point of speaking in tongues is to be able to reach others that can't speak your language, to spread the Message in the bible. I believe in something, I just wouldnt say it's God. Who else shares my point of view.

Okay, today we have muslims and jews fighting in the middle east. In the middle east Islamic terrorists kill people for not following their religion. This is very bad.

But then you have the christian fundamentalists who hold signs that say hateful things such as "dead soldiers please god" and "god hates homos". I'm sure if these people could, they'd kill non-christians.

And then there were the crusades where christians marched into the middle east to reclaim the holy land. many muslims and christians were killed.

Religion causes a lot of damage, what's the point of believing it anymore? especially when there's so much evidence for evolution that it's even taught in most schools now (don't worry, they explain that its a theory).

According to Anthropology, the Neandertal man disappeared about 30,000 yrs ago. The Cromagnum Man interbred with the Neandertals before thier extinction. But out lived the Neandertals.
Later came the Homosapians. They built the city of Nod and multiplied.
Then God created Adam and Eve. And after they were expelled from the Garden of Eden and had sons, Cain went to Nod and took a wife. Because he saw the daughters of man were fair.
So, Is this how we got Atheists???? This sould explain why they came from monkeys.
