Is your God so forgiving that a man of the cloth gets to go upstairs even after raping little boys?

Well, if I were running things I'd say, "yes." They would get to go to heaven but they'd have to spend eternity with 90+ year old syphilitic prostitute hags, 90+ year old men who couldn't get it up and had but-holes the size of watermelons and cats with huge, sharp nails that have been trained to attack the exposed penis on sight.

Number one. Obviously, simply for the reason that supposedly in Gods eyes, he wouldn't want to be worshiped, but to make life for others as good as possible. I'm not religious, but I've just come back from a two day visit to a Catholic monastery, so I know a lot about religion :-p Also, some religious people don't believe in hell, so where would they go if god wasn't to let them into heaven? And another thing, why would a priest rape someone? Being religious is all about having self control and overpowering temptation. Which is also why they can't marry or have sex. I feel so smart 8-)

Good question, I think people in the ministry should be held to a higher standard. Unless the priest truly repents and asks for forgiveness, he wont go to heaven. To repent means not only to be sorry for the sin, but willing to turn away from it. God is merciful, but many probably wont change. My heart goes out to the boys, and men who have had to endure this horror.

We have ALL sinned and fall short. If you've hated, you're guilty of murder. If you've lusted, you're guilty of adultry. God is concerned with the issues of the heart before a physical act is ever committed. If someone goes to Him in a spirit of true repentence and a broken heart over what they have done, He will forgive every sin.

I don't think so! A priest shouldn't be so low-down and dirty to do something like this to a child... But, God forgives people even for their sins, but he doesn't forgive for self-murder. I ain't God to determine whether or not someone goes to hell or heaven. But, if it was me I send every last one of them to hell.

They sure as flipping heck shouldn't. But I suppose they "do" because they're men of the cloth. What a flipping messed up system that is.

Just to clarify, I'm atheist so I don't think god has anything to do with anything.

Priests are Undead. They cannot die and are continually trying to occupy a new body. They prefer little boy's bodies mostly and you know how they try to empty their twisted, festering souls into these unfortunate prey. They aren't always successful and will endlessly continue to enter a new boy.

The only sin that is unforgivable is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Also, Catholicism is a whole different can of worms.

It doesn't matter what the priest thinks or what we think. It matters what God's word says.

If we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and repent of our sins then we are saved through Christ Jesus and our sins are forgiven.

I was sexually molested as a child (not by a priest but by an uncle) and through Jesus Christ I hold no malice in my heart for him. My truest desire is that one day he accepts Jesus as his savior and repents of his sins.

Remember Jesus loves the sinner but hates the sin.

once saved, always saved...I don't agree

but I do feel we all experience universal salvation, hell and heaven are here and now, up to you, you make it good/bad based on your choices or focus on needs or wants, addictions and trends

maybe you rephrase to the CEO's who rape thier employees like Ken Lay also get a clean slate...or the corporations raping our country right now with no real laws protecting the citizens finally get held accountable, thier bosses and associates? probably not
