Let’s assume that you are the only one who knows exactly where they are (so if you want destroy them, you can). By “contradictions” with the Bible, I mean this: The writing appears to be Jesus’ personal journal in which he talks about being married to Mary Magdalene, having a child, wanting to pass leadership of the church on to his wife, etc. Obviously I’m borrowing these examples from historical debates and speculations that have been around for centuries, recently made popular in a novel, but I don’t want to debate the claims. I want to focus on what YOU would do if you actually found yourself in this position. Please assume that there are no facts outside of the Bible to contradict the authenticity of the manuscripts, so you know that most historians will believe that Jesus actually wrote them. Would you release the documents? Hide them? Destroy them?
