There are so many but this really touches me. When I heard my Dad had a heart attack and I was on my way to the hospital I asked the Lord to give me a peace and strength to get thoughit. And I had an absolute peace and calm go right through me. I was able to help my mother cope with his death. The peace I'm talking about isn't like the kind you get from a Valium or stiff drink but a knowledge that every thing's ok, I'm here.

Lately I've been asking Him for help financially, not that I can have riches galore, but that I can pay all my bills, and anything else I need to.
For instance, I have no insurance and my wife is pregnant. I applied for Medicare, but I was denied the first time (January). We ended up paying $1800 to nurse midwives. A few months later we applied again (my wife stoped working) This time we were accepted, which will pay for the hospital. We just moved to a different appartment a few weeks ago and that was costly, so I prayed about it. We got half of the $1800 back from the Nurse Midwives (because of Medicare) and after the baby is born we get the rest.
Some people will say it was just a coincidence, but I say it never hurts to ask God for help.

About an hour ago, I needed to go out into a severe thunderstorm. There had been a few strikes close by and, as I ran across an open parking lot, I asked God to keep me and those around me safe. I was running with a cup of Starbucks coffee, and a lot of it found its was out of the tiny opening and all over my arm. It was extremely hot. I guess I should have prayed not to be scolded to death instead. :)

Every day, since I found out about my husbands affair. I'm waiting for His response but accepting that things get better in His time, not mine, and that I will be a better person for keeping my faith through this most difficult of times. I am a pretty full on Christian anyway, so I pray every day, most of the time I'm talking to God, usually in my head. I often pray for parking spaces to be available!

I spent 6 months after my business collapsed and i was feeling that there was no way out of my situation.
I started praying and going back to church asking for God's help.
At the eleventh hour, with our house under threat and me contemplating exiting the whole thin, I had a religious experience. The veil was lifted and I was shown that I needed to change direction.
Within a week I had a new job offer and hopefully everything will work out.
I asked for His help and he came to my aid.

I speak with God/dess all the time. Spirit is my Best Friend and I'm always talking with Spirit. I'm sure that I look silly especially when I'm sitting alone in my car and I'm talking away. By the way, I've found a way to "alter" this. I have my cell phone headset on now, so it just looks like I'm talking to someone on the phone.
Have a lovely rest of the day.....Bright Blessings.....

I call upon Him all the time! Almost every day something comes up where I have to ask God for help. Last night my husband had to drive my son someplace when he was really too tired, and I prayed to God and asked for their safety. He granted it!

Minor. help answer this Q, In 1976 my life was a mess (again)I had searched for answers for twelve years, this time I experienced a "spiritual turn around". Due to the prompting of quiet spirit within my own heart(some call it faith)I prayed directly to GOD,forgive me my sins (instantly done) please send me some one to show me the truth. HE DID,I learned the only real church is in my own heart,I learned how to use the mind to enter into spirit within my own heart and experience unconditional LOVE.I am still experiencing union with GOD in unconditional LOVE trying to let go of sense of self.

Yesterday when we were at my mother-in-law's. I had a terrible toothache, my 3yr boy refused to go bathroom and got the area wet, my 1yr daughter woke up and started to cry, then my 4yr daughter spilled a bottle of butter milk over the couch.
