Protestants that follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and try to live their lives accordingly by obeying all the commandments to the best of their ability are good Christians.
Whatever doctrine they choose to follow is their right and agency to do so. We Latter-day Saints will try to teach them what we believe they should know, but they have the perogative to worship who, how, and where they wish.
Brigham Young once said that a person could worship the yellow dog down the street so long as he does not bring harm to his neighbor.
P.s Dr. Kristen, there are many degrees of heaven and there is a suitable place or reward for every righteous person, regardless of religious beliefs--so long as they follow the Christ's teachings and accept Him as their Savior and Redeemer.
To reach the Celestial Kingdom where God the Father and His Son reside is a different matter and requires higher laws and commandments to follow.

That's great to hear the last LDS response...
there is someone I know who still tells me that everyone that is not LDS is not a true Christian & wont get to heaven & is pretty much dammned to hell. I've read the Book of Mormon & there is a quote in the beginning of it somewhere that says pretty much that in a nutshell.

I don't know because it's the only church that didn't put down other religious beliefs, such as I've heard from others.
I went to a Mormon church for a while, and I felt more comfortable there than in any of the others.
