One of the reasons I left conventional religion were no one could answer these kinds of questions for me. I once asked my clergyman why the Bible says "God created man in our image". I wanted to know why not my instead of our. My next question was if Cain and Able were the only children of Adam and Eve when Cain killed Able and was sent out of his land, where did the other people come from that he went among and married? I was told that I was not to ask these questions as it was Blasphemy. Like you I would like to know these answers. I do not think it has anything to do with evolution. Conspiracy theorists would say it was something created and written to control us. Could be. Maybe we were an experiment from some other planet that went awry so they just forgot about us. It would be wonderful to know some of these answers. OK Lundstroms2004 where did all of those people come from to be scattered?

If there was an Adam and Eve, I can believe that God created them. To me, it is obvious that He did not stop there. You make an excellent point. Religion was created to keep the people in line. I also believe in evolution because I have to, its been proved. So, if you still want to believe in creationism, than there should be a way to overlap the two.

Skin tones vary from race to race, you're right.
But all racial skin tones are controlled by each person's melonin in our body-chemistry. Families pass it to their children.
We all have melonin.
It is a chemical that adapts to different environments in order to protect us.
The more melonin that is "activated", the darker complexion we will have. Exposure to the sun, or lack of it, helps determine how dark or light melonin makes us.
Assuming Jesus had a typically middle eastern olive complexion, it is interesting the King Solomon (same family blood line as Jesus) was said to have been black in the Song Of Solomon Book of the Bible.

I believe they were darker skinned. Like the jewish people were of their day. Being out in the sun all the time.

The other religions came from their children`s spouses and them moving all around the world.

It is disturbing to think all of the people came from Adam and Eve. I think Incest. But that`s the only explaination I have heard from Bible scholars.

contrary to the lady above me, I believe that you can reply without being a fanatic.

When Nimrod built the tower of Babel, and the ensuing chaos after its destruction, that is when people scattered to the ends of the earth andthe races were formed.

People live in a certain area...they have a distinct advangate over others....ergo it is their genes that are passed. Subtle genes become magnified in an isolated community, and as each "cradle' gave birth to different races.

God, being almighty, created all creatures (including Humans). If Gos wanted to create a purple race he could do that too.

The book of Enoch states the Noah was an albino and his sons were black and red and white. So I suppose Noahs wife was black. That would explain all the races.
