Actually, it is hard to do when you think it isn't possible, just like any task you might try to accomplish, but sleep paralysis and spontaneous OOBE's do occurr. Please explain.

Does anyone agree with me that without this image of God our life would be a much more peaceful place. Think about it for a second there would have been no crusades, these religious wars in the middle east would not exist, our society would be based on helping other people instead of serving God. I think the Mayans have the right thought process about their vision of the end of the world on december 21st 2012. They vision either totoal destruction, or a completly new society where people work as one and there is no longer a view of God.
I dont know i think people would start making their judgments based on what they think is right instead of what God thinks is right. Yes their are some downfalls if this was to happen tommorow, but i am talking about in the beginning of time where the first image of ONE god appeared.

An old Buddhist parable goes something like this. A father is walking home from the fields one day. Looking across the valley he sees his children thorugh the upstairs window of his home. He then is sickened to see the downsatairs on fire. He knows that if he yells "fire!" his children will panic and probably die. So he yells "I have toys!" and they come running to him. Obviously he was "bearing false witness". Was his act immoral?

For those who believe in a literal hell, can you please tell me the very first place and time it is mentioned in the bible. Why is there no mention of it in the stories of the transgretions of Adam and Eve, the murder of abel by Cain, the Deluge of Noah, or the destruction of Sodam. If true, how is this omission to be explained in harmony with the acknowledged principles of justice, to say nothing of mercy?

With the exception of atheists, most people are on a spiritual journey. They are searching for something. What are you searching for? Peace? Enlightenment? The meaning of life? The perfect pair of shoes? Tell me.

Why do you think that is?

I know, many of us were taught that this is the pinnacle or morality, to love God more than anyone. The understanding "other" must accept this.

Makes for a great excuse to...doesnt it. "honey, ive gotta do this for the chruch/mission/religious function cause I serve God first, you know that, dont make me chose honey".

Im so impressed with this imagined love, I really am, but as impressed as I am, I guarentee that any woman declaring such a love will be dumped hard.

As for myself, I will give all I have first to my significant other because she will be all I know and I cannot truely love something I do not truely know.

"oh, but you can know God...do x and y and z, and read the bible and ....". I did all that, but the difference between me and you is i never lost touch with whats real...and it never was real. Sorry to burst the bubble but it does a lot of harm to...

If I have a religion, its the art of loving a woman...thats powerful and real...

Why when asking Christian about Lot and his 2 daughters who commit terrible act by getting drank and raping their own father we constantly hear that “and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us.”

Well according to Genesis 19:21-22, 30
I will not overthrow this city for the which thou hast spoken. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. ... And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him.
May be its time for Christian to come up with more twisted explanation?

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth..."

Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1. Everybody here knows it, even the atheists. Except....

When you go back and read the original Hebrew, you find that, where the King James version plugs in the word "God", it actually says, "elohim"....

That's the plural form, ladies and gentlemen.

"The GODS created the heavens and the earth."

When you understand the history of the Old Testament, and how Yahweh evolved from an ancient Canaanite mystery cult that featured a pantheon of gods, a lot of things become much clearer (like why Yahweh can be a "jealous" god, when Christians assert that he's the only "real" god and everyone else's is just pretend.)

What else has your church been withholding from you? Just how much jeopardy is your soul truly in, when your church will only let you have the parts of God's word that they WANT you to have, and conceal the parts that THEY think you can't handle or aren't ready for?

My boyfriend and I had a son in March, but we cannot get married until he is out of school due to financial issues. We have gone to confession, but I need to know if we can get married in a Catholic church still? I know *many* Catholics have premarrital sex, but can it be forgiven by the church if it is obviously known, by evidence of a child? Can anybody help me & give me some information on how I should go about it if we can, I'd appriciate it very much. Thank you in advance.

P.S. For the people who are just going to bash me, go ahead. I know what I did was wrong in my religion, but I am just asking for advice.

Hello.Basically, I just want to know when in meditation, is there a goal that is to be reached, a desired pinnacle to be attained, or are you just simply there to strengthen your focus on breath. Secondly, how is meditation directly going to benefit/help along with developing any psychic ability? How will I notice the difference between lack of ability and growing ability? I just need to know these things in order to further motivate me. No reason in doing monotonous practice if no results are noticed. Don't get me wrong as it takes time for these things, but I would just like like some restitution in knowing there are others like me out there. Oh one last thing, does every psychic possess a spiritual guide? Thanks Hope to hear from u soon!

Jesus said, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who ill-treat you".

Can you give instances of when you did this?

Mankind created the story of God's long ago to give themselves something to do since they had no work. Knew no reasons of existence they had to create something. It's just to bad that in the end people forgot the story was just a story. Now they are trying to make paper come to life and slowly it is working but God isn't perfect. He is just a formed image stuffed into the simple minds of the flock. He is always holy even if he Kills. He is always forgiven and they remain unaware of the flood. What happens when God breaks his own words? Doesn't that unwrap the fabric of time? Apparently not, as he commanded thou shalt not kill to be written on the stone tablets. Then how is it that the flood can be considered ok. If you don't believe in him he promises to kill you or send you to Hell. What beautiful dogma! You know what though it is I who will be sending a shockwave to the flock in the years to come! Christians will see and understand true fear!

Can you tell me similarities between different religions?
I want to know similiar stories, gods, and whatever else there is. For example, there's both creation and flood stories from different religions. I want you to tell me as much as you possibly can about this.
Whoever comes up with the most similarities gets 10 pts. Good luck.
