Life without this vision of God?

Question

Does anyone agree with me that without this image of God our life would be a much more peaceful place. Think about it for a second there would have been no crusades, these religious wars in the middle east would not exist, our society would be based on helping other people instead of serving God. I think the Mayans have the right thought process about their vision of the end of the world on december 21st 2012. They vision either totoal destruction, or a completly new society where people work as one and there is no longer a view of God.
I dont know i think people would start making their judgments based on what they think is right instead of what God thinks is right. Yes their are some downfalls if this was to happen tommorow, but i am talking about in the beginning of time where the first image of ONE god appeared.

LOL, Well, who couldn't make that broad of a prediction. That's like saying we'll either eventually have a WWIII or we'll all live happily ever after without another World War, vague predictions, such as those, are completely useless.

As far as your premise, you're entirely wrong. Religion has never truly been a cause of any war, it's only been an excuse by leaders of people, to convince them that their asperations are necessary, "for the sake of our religion", when, in fact, those leaders true reasoning for going to war, was due to personal greed for money and/or power.

The wonders of how man came into existence and the brealth of life, is it not enough for you to worship God?
Mind you religion is not the problem people are only using it as a cover up to carry out the evil in them.

today man is civilised and controlled because of this concept called god! else man would be no different from animals. the wars are because of a group of fanatic ba****ds who brain wash the young bloods for their own good! remember, man was barbaric at the beginning and the concept of god had born naturally out of the brains of the learned and the experienced to control themselves from eating one another!
