When someone asks a question about where something is in the Bible and a bunch of people say "It never says it" or "nowhere" and then another bunch of people show chapter and verse with the answer to the question.

Shouldn't people take a little time to look for an answer instead of just saying there isnt one and look foolish?

then who will the two witnesses go to for this test?

1I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. 2But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

What's the "ONE" thing you would love for Christians to understand about you and your beliefs.

For some it might be for acceptance, to leave you alone, For others it might be respect.

But what's the one thing you wish Christians would just get?

Isaiah 7 verse 14 9 verse 6 "Unto us a child is born, a son is given, and he will be the prince of peace, God almighty, and the wonderful counselor." Isaiah 52 vs 13-53 vs 12 "He will be exaulted, but first marred more than any man, and will lay downhis life an atonement for our sins. (for forgiveness passover and Yom Kippur blood sacrifice for sins-commanded by Moses- The life of the flesh is in the blood and i have given it to make atonement for your sins."

America is based on Bible and on Chrsitianity. Why these people
use medicines, cars, aeroplanes and every modern gifts of civilization
--which were invented by the Christian Genius? Why they don't submit to the truth and the Christians who taught civilization to the uncivilized non-Western world?

Let's see, he enjoys animal sacrifice rituals, he put himself/son down here for us to execute for our final sacrifice to himself/him.
He doesn't see the difference between an abortionist and a baker if they are both atheist, doesn't see the difference between a serial killer and a librarian if they are both Muslim, basically, sees all "sin" the same, as in, this god who made millions of other galaxies and stars and planets doesn't see the difference between the sin of swearing and the sin of murdering.
He and Satan are buddies duking it out for souls in the soul game and he lets Satan win most of the time since Satan has a built in evil of man advantage.
And the whole reason for all of this is because the divine God who loves a good challenge wants to see if we pawns all really "believe" in him or not.
???? What kind of God IS this anyway? How could you even trust what heaven would be like with a God like that?

I've started reading the bible everyday and came across abraham and his affair with the maid slave and the dismissal of the illigitimate son afterwards. How can God find favor in a man like this? Is the Bible a true account? I am starting to have serious doubts. There are so many different interpretations. how do I know what is true?

We have so much good proof for it. But it is based on what we know from skeletons that are millions of years old. How the hell can you expect any theory about something so old to have all the proof it needs to prove itself completely? And the fact that their are missing links and that we can't explain everything (although very little isn't covered which you would know if you bothered to read outside of your religious propoganda) only proves that we are human not that the theory is incorrect. Open your mind.

Why it isn't a religion. Evolution is a scientific theory based on what fact we can infer from extremely ancient bones. So where there are holes (really not as numerous as you would claim and far overshadowed by the things that fit) we assume that NATURAL processes took place in those spaces just as they did in so many other places with all the links. This is not faith, its a fact based assumption, not a belief based guess to justify things we don't know.

Not asking for a religious debate as such, but:

There seem to be more people advocating religion on here than I find in everyday life.

Do you think the proportions are about the same as in real life - just that they're more vocal about it;

Or might any religious types seek out places like this as a forum to spread the word?

Do not take the Bible very seriously...
If you are a Christian and believe that God didn't do it the way he said He did, when do you start believing that the Bible is true?
After Creation, Adam and Eve in the Garden? At Noah and the Flood? Moses and the Red Sea? Joshua at the Jordan, Jericho or when the Sun went back 10 degrees in the sky? Sampson and the slaughter of the Philistines? David and Golliath? The Ark? Solomon's great Wisdom? Jonah and the fish?
Are you starting to get the picture? When do you start believing what the Word of God says? When you like what it says?
What about The Messiah? Promised one from the beginning. Do you start believing the Bible when it talks about salvation? How about heaven? Maybe you will believe Paul, the Apostle chosen by The LORD to succeed Judas? Or John on Patmos? Do you think he was lying when he wrote The Revelation? Just part of it? Maybe he was only telling the truth about the return?
Make up your mind; be for God or against God.

When answering questions about theological contradictions (for example: "If God is benevolent and omnipotent, why does evil exist?") many theists answer that God (or gods) created human beings with "free will". Yet many (not all) of the same theists believe strongly in prophecy, especially in apocalyptic scenarios. If our destiny is predetermined through prophecy, can we truly have free will?

I can admit pure water is chemically H2O. That is irrefutably true.
I can admit electrons pass from one atom to another under conduction. That is irrefutably true.
I can admit that 1+1=2. That is irrefutable truth.
I can admit that in DNA all the code needed to determine a person's physical characteristics are found. Irrefutable at this time.

There is no proof of evolution on the scale that humanists or secular Christians claim. Not one shred of verifiable truth.
God made the universe exnihilo. He did it the way the Bible said He did it.
Where I will differ with other Christians is that Adam and Eve were in the garden for millions of years before they were cast out. They were created perfect and had no decay in their bones. Once they sinned however, that is when they began to die and Adam's years began to be counted.
There is nothing said in the Bible about how long Adam and Eve were in the garden before they began to die.

Evolution is not science.
