Well in the bible it doesn't say it just lets you know where it is, over the right eye. In the fantasy series "The Books of Cain" (old series). It is a scar that starts above the right eye and then goes down across the eye and ends on the cheek. In the movie "The greatest story ever told, it looks like the Kabalah tree of life on the middle of the forehead.

God’s sentencing of Cain to banishment from the ground evidently meant his eviction from the neighborhood of the garden of Eden, and the curse already upon the earth would be increased in Cain’s case, the earth not responding to his cultivation of it. Cain expressed regret over the severity of his punishment and showed anxiety as to the possibility of Abel’s murder being avenged upon him, but still no sincere repentance. Jehovah “set up a sign for Cain” to prevent his being killed, but the record does not say that this sign or mark was placed on Cain’s person in any way. The “sign” likely consisted of God’s solemn decree itself, known and observed by others. Ge 4:10-15; compare vs 24 where that decree is referred to by Lamech.

i'm not effective what the mark of Cain became yet there is unquestionably a mark on his personality it is often nicely-called his mark. His ethic became that God can not keep. It became the sin of cain that stated "i'm not my brother's keeper" at the same time as he knew that he had killed his brother out of envy. This concept denies that God sees all. notwithstanding he sinned and became the first assassin to stroll this earth this mark regardless of the reality that it became confirmed the longsuffering love of God. It confirmed to mankind that "Vengeance is mine' saith the Lord." God did not choose a vendetta operation to maintain on with the slaying of his brother Abel.

well the bible say something about the mark of Cain but it doesn't say something particularly. For example it maybe a sign or some sort of symbol but we don't know for sure so don't confuse yourself with something else.
