Here's the thing: there are a lot of uninformed people in here, both Christians and atheists. There are a lot of questions being posted that are just plain DUMB, like the following:

ATHEISTS:
"If God created everything, who created God?" - God, by definition, is the uncreated Creator of everything. Therefore, this question is moot.

"Can God create a rock so big, that even he can't lift it?" - This is not a question of omnipotence, this is a question of LOGIC. God works within the boundaries of logic. God is limited to his own laws, including LOGIC. Consequently, God cannot "out do" God; this is purely illogical.

CHRISTIANS:

"If we evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys?" - Evolutionists do not think that we evolved from monkeys, but that we once shared a common ancestor.

"Just believe!" - This statement makes me sick to my stomach. Blind faith is truly DUMB in any case. "Faith" in the Bible uses the Greek word "pistis", which means "forensic proof".

There are scriptural guidelines for evaluating claims like those of the WT. The Lord Jesus said that false prophets might be recognized by "bad fruit" or sinful deeds (Matt. 15:17-20). We would have to acknowledge that all people sin, even prophets. But a true prophet would not be characterized by a consistent pattern of deliberately spurning God's law.
Therefore, anyone who claims to be a prophet should be reliably honest in all his dealings—especially in spiritual matters. The WT claims it is the "faithful and wise servant" called to dispense God's "meat in due season" (see Matt. 24:45). Those whom God has called to be teachers and prophets must be circumspect about their proclamation (James 3:1). It must always be only the truth.

I'm talking about the Bible obviously. You shouldn't believe everything you read today, so why should I believe that these guys who wrote the Bible actually talked to or heard God. How do I know these guys weren't smokin something or schizo.

I organize activites for singles in my area, about 15 people right now, looking like it will be 20 or more by the fall. I have the summer mostly planned, and I was wondering if anyone can suggest some good activities come fall when summer fun slows down? We tend to lean towards board game nights and birthday parties and such for the winter, but this year I wanted to make things a bit more exciting. I have some ideas to help spice up the winter blahs, but I wondered if anyone would be willing to offer some ideas as well? This is a group of people ages 23-30 right now, and almost everyone is single, and non of us are married. Most of us are Christians, so we like to keep the fun clean. Games that aren't about flirting or romance would be best as well as that usually only leads to hurt and unintentional broken hearts. Thanks for any ideas you can give me to add to the other ideas I want to put into place this fall. :)

Jesus Christ is constantly seeking to have a relationship with you, so why not just take the time to attempt to reach out to him? We all are given one opportunity to get it right on this earth, so why not at least give it some serious thought. The way I see it is, if christians are wrong the worst thing that can happen is that we die trying to help people and turn into dust. On the other hand if we're right then we'll be spending eternity in heaven, while all non-believers will be condemned to hell-fire.

I want to become muslim cause I read the translation of the Holly Qur'aan although it's written in Arabic and I read all the words of Prophet Mohammad as I mentioned before.Just tell me why many prophossers and Doctors became muslim all over the world ? the answer is because they discovered that many many sentences in were miricals .I will forgive you Mr.cause Islam taught me to forgive people and not to hate anyone .islam isn't based on killing as you said nononononononono it is based on love and forgiveness and if 4 or 5 muslims killed people that doesn't mean that all muslims are like that!!!!!
