You know... technically speaking at some point, at least one of everyone's ancestor was a murderer... I mean, do you really believe a bird brought you to earth? Wars have been fought before.
If my ancestor was a murderer... would I want others to judge me? No, and even if my ancestor wasn't a murderer I still would not want any one to judge me. That is so not cool. Why? Because when people judge they get this totally wrong notion of someone and that impedes them from really getting to know that other person. And I really like to make new friends... judging before hand messes that up!

Every man chooses his or her own path... To judge the kids for what the parents did ?? - no I wouldn't want that ..... Your question intrigues me because while we don't want to be judged for our ancestor's deeds, we do welcome the idea that God's blessings extend up to the 1000'th generation when our ancestors are walking right... and the curse stops at the seventh generation for those who do evil... hmmm...
And then... you know, the people view you as "dude, he's the son of that guy who killed those women... you know... "the green river killer"??? They must be whaccos...
That's soo unfair!
My opinion is that people shouldn't judge other people, since everyone given the same conditions is capable of murder, or other bad deeds

NO!! you are your own individual, and you should not be judged according to your relatives. There could be the factor that your ancestors are famous for all being serial killers, but even then, innocent until proven guilty. You should be judged according to your PERSONAL PERSONALITY!!!!!! God says in the Bible that he will only punish generations for the sins of their ancestors ifthey are like their ancestors and do not reepent of their sins. But if you are a Christian, and repent, you will not be punished for their sins. It is only if you are like your ancestors that are the murderers.

Absolutely not, I would definitely not want held accountable for something I did not do. I would only want to be judged on the things I do in my lifetime - no one wants to walk around with an ancestors evil deed hanging over their heads, nor should they have to!

How does their past deeds affect what others think? Why should it? People have to let things go. My ancestors ran a whore house! Does that make me bad in some way? No. I have dealt with that curse and I've moved on. If others want to get hung up on that fact it's their problem. They will have to deal with God on that...not me! :D

Some people may irrationally criticize or judge you.... that's just a fact of life you can't do anything about. The real question is how you'd let it affect you. You know you did nothing wrong, and you can't help or make up for the choices your ancestor did, so you shouldn't have anything to be ashamed of about yourself.

My father is a murderer and is spending life in prison. I hate his guts for what he did to my mother and myself, and I wish upon him a slow and painful death. What do you mean, "if not why?" Of course you shouldn't judge people on that, that's plain ridiculous! And Andrew (quote: the son should answer for the sins of the father), you, sir, are an idiot. At no point in your ridiculous statement did you come close to anything that could be considered a coherent thought. I award you no credit, and may God have mercy on your soul.

No. That's like people hating Jews today for something that happened thousands of years ago that we have no control over. I don't understand why people would ever judge someone over the past actions of others. I don't understand at all.

No. I did not kill anyone. My "great grand-father" may have (he didn't), but what does that have to do with me? I'm not in the same situation as my ancestor was in at the time of his crime. And even if I happen to be, it doesn't mean that I will kill somebody.
So why should I be punished for my ancestor's crime.
