It is almost 2008 surely there must be a better way. It takes 3000+ Years for some plastics to rot away in landfill sites.

when i look back about the music during these times i always think about the beatles, the doors, elvis, johnny cash, rolling stones, etc.

but they are all kind of the same genre of music.
unlike today, did you guys ever asked what kind of music you listen to or whats your favorite type of music?
today we have rap,country,rock,pop etc.
but the most i differnce i could think of back then is like blues and rock or something.

i dont know im just curious about that.

They always say to check 1 box, but I always check Caucasian and Asian. I was told to mark whatever they look "most like". I find this very offensive, we take pride in both of our races. Any advice?

I was very young, but i remember when she was Prime Minister of Pakistan. A female in charge of a muslim country. Having learned about the culture of islam and the culture that preceded it, this for me, was hope incarnate. Mind you, still just a kid growing up in Munich.
Now, I'm older and our country's (or the west as a whole)relationship with this part of the world has really gone awry. When did she just become fodder? What are we REALLY doing to each other?

There's this girl I like, but never met before. She's a sophomore cheerleader, and I'm a junior football player.

I don't know her school schedule and I've never seen her around school. but apparently, we are Facebook friends.

I would really like to get to know her in person first, but I have no idea where her classes are or where her locker is.

So is it okay to talk to her on Facebook first by writing on her wall? (it's like leaving a comment on MySpace).

I've been told these two lines are good icebreakers:

"hey i have you as a friend on facebook but we never talk...we should change that...lol so whats up what have you been up to during break?"

or

"hey i have you as a friend on facebook but i dont believe we've ever talked... how was your christmas?"

I would get to know her via Facebook, then try to find and talk to her at school (we come back Jan. 7)

But would that be awkward?

(and if this is okay to do, which one of the two lines is best?)

Obviously still on a rough draft; I'm not asking for a thorough critique, I would just really appreciate it if you would read this entire beginning to what I am writing (I have more than this, but I'm obviously not going to post it all). I realize this is somewhat long to be posting here, but I really need some outside advice, honest input please.

She sighed with discontentment as the world continued to turn. Even though she did not see it, the earth did spin. Even though the world did not see it, her heart did ache. It ached with a deep longing that she feared would never be fulfilled. Or couldn’t, she mused, couldn’t. Maybe it was impossible to satisfy.
The swift, cool breeze carrying on from the ocean sent shivers through her body. She gazed at the luminous full moon as it bestowed a lane of light upon the depthless, navy waters. Its path shimmered as the seas remained calm. The unbounded veil of black above held the wishes of many young children; there was no telling the number of hopes and dreams each star compressed. She became a child again for a mere moment in hope that some far-off star would hear and grant her unspoken wish. The clouds proceeded to roll across the skies, while further concealing the aspirations of her heart.
Pulling the blanket closer around her, she arose slowly and took in a deep breath. Tomorrow was another day, she reminded herself, each new dawn brings a new beginning and new opportunities, as her grandmother used to advise. She opened the screen door and drudged her way up the stairs. Longingly, she crawled beneath the downy blankets, and sunk into a much-needed, restful slumber.
She awoke the next morning to the sound of two lively, spirited young girls, both of whom quivered with excitement. Their shrill voices carried through the air and into her room. Even just two and the giggling was perpetual.

Jim Morrison has a strong cult following as can be witnessed if you visit his grave in Paris on any given day of the week. He was a singer, poet, visionary, risk taker, alcoholic, and possible drug addict. What is his greatest gift to the world? Why is he still so popular in American culture?

My theory:

You sit on YA 10 to 14 hours a day, answering questions, debating with people that disagree, asking mundane questions that don't really have any relevance to your life, but they seemed interesting when the question first came into your mind...so you ask and then get upset because nobodies answering you, so you contemplate whether it's all worth it...the Yahoo lifestyle...then you see one question in R&S that sparks your interest and when you read the responses being given you feel all warm inside, so you answer and then every atheist and christian and islamic nut slams you for even thinking you could be wise enough to answer one of their questions with your emotionally ill self...so then you begin to wonder if life is even worth living...so you put a question on one last time that says, "Does anyone out there care at all?"

Why do people ask questions that are either obvious, or easily found simply by visiting Google? The level of stupidity found in some questions is shocking. I mean, funny as hell, yes, but shocking given most are actually serious. Gawd!

The meds wheteher they be for Bipolar or ADHD will be a catalyst for the antichrist to try to have on you or your family. I am Jamaican.. but i've been a loner eva since I moved to america when I was little.. Im have suicidal thoughts and I cry myself to sleep just about every night.. I just got jumped by a gang for the second time.. all the girls are BIG ( I only weight 105 pds) it was about 5 or 6 of em.. Its a pretty bad neighborhood.

My eye is swollen and I have a raging headache, bruises and bad memories of being jumped barefooted in the snow by this girl 2 years ago.

My mother wants us to relocate back to jamaica sooner than we had planned to avoid me being jumped or maybe killed.
We dont really have a lot of money...but i'd just have to get a job and hope things work out..
Does this sound like a bad idea?
