english people..?

im from england and i have a friend who lives here in the UK but comes from chicago, shes says that in America everyone thinks english people talk really posh, and drink tea. is this true? and are there any other stereotypes about the english...? i think its quite interesting to know....

When Americans think of the English they mostly think of propper, snobbish preppy rich people with really bad teeth who drink a lot of tea and eat crumpets. But that's only some of the sterotypes...
