If someone were to do a random act of kindness, and told others about it would that be considered showing off? Is it better to be quiet about what they did? Is it more respectful towards the person/thing/situation that they helped out with?

While at work; I was wearing a low cut v-shaped silk violent shirt. I sitting down typeing up the performance report, and when I look up I caught three white male co-workers looking down my shirt. I was embarrassed!! Men are such pigs!!

Example: a few nights ago, a man from India wrote about an online affair he was having. As I was answering it occured to me that there might be a different stigma regarding affairs in India than there is here in the U.S. (due to classes, religion, legalities, etc.). Also, occasionally I run into questions from men or women trying to meet member of the opposite sex. It's easy for me to say, "Just go up and introduce yourself!" In a different culture, it may not be appropriate to just approach a member of the opposite sex.

I'm curious if anyone else considers the culture of the asker before answering. If so, has realizing that you might not have a good understanding of the culture ever prevented you from posting a reply?

What can make us identify someone simply from their face as a boy or a girl?

As a society, we're often told that holding on to our past (especially events and people which have hurt us) is un-healthy!

However, Golda Meir said : "One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present.”

This is a serious question.
I used to own a business that sold really cheap furnature. Everytime we would deliver furnature to a trailer they would have a unicorn collection. You never see unicorn collections in really nice houses.....WHY?

there were alot of people who said that guy was making it up, about his daughter, is that ur way of dealing with an uncomfortable subject? if you saw a guy beating his girlfriend in the street would u turn ur head and walk away? if you saw a child with bruises all over him would you just tell urself "oh he`s probably just clumsy" so that you wouldnt have to do anything? damn thats sad!

Mine take between 1;30 to 2 hours, depending on if I make lunch in the morning.

How can people only take an hour? Do you rush through morning or go at a decent pace? It takes me 40-45 min alone for breakfast ( I don't eat cereal and I get me some tea) and then my hygeine takes 35 minutes. The rest of the time (15 minutes) is for putting my stuff in my car, and going around to see if I can put anything away (like dishes) OR buffer time in case something happens. Then I drive for 15 minutes to work- 15 min early IN CASE something happens (which does from time to time)

I know some people are just going to write a line or a phrase to get 2 points. But I'm talking about the people that write paragraphs and everything they say is stereotype or misconception and they are just way off the correct answer. That just annoys me. I mean I don't take the answers on this site seriously but there's nothing worse than someone who does not know jack trying to claim that they are an expert.
