I don't know why... But, it really pisses me off when I take the time to answer a question correctly and add as much helpful information as I can... and the asker picks some absolute rubbish as "best answer" because it sounds right to someone who knows nothing on the subject or it's what the asker wants to hear....

What you are referring to is the actually the subject of a widely debated sociological theory. The theory states that people are more likely to lie in public to look good than they are to try on a new pair of pants before buying them. Now the belief is that one in 50 will try on a new pair of pants, while 1 in 10 will lie to look good. Yahoo!Answers was created and designed to study this phenomenon by the Russian Intelligence Alliance of KTO as they are know in Russia. This experiment is quite costly and President Bush has agreed to pay half of the cost as long as Russia will agree to share 25% of the results with the Iranians. I hope this helps man!

Probably for the same reason some know-it-all will rattle your ears off for hours on end...everyone has an answer for everything and some think that if they rattle on long enough their wrong answers will sound right.
The only time I will provide an answer is if I know from personal experience. Google isn't always right...
...plus I'm a ho for the points.

I know it! Fuzzy Moo Moo answers all kind of Miley Cyrus questions-and she hates her! She answers questions like, "Calling all Miley Fans!" To me it doesn't make any sense. Okay, sure you'll get two points for answering the darn question but you'll never get a Best Answer for answering questions that calls for someone ya love, not someone ya hate!!! It really bothers me...and she's a TOP CONTRIBUTOR in celebs!! For criticizing celebs! Not fair!!! LOL. I 100% agree with you in every way. It's rude and annoying!

this site is an example of human interplay. the first of its kind as its online - ;-) .. kinda.. anyway, ppl believe that what they are saying is truth, ignoring the people who just say they want the points, and if they don't know they wish to appear as though they do and so pinch someone elses idea, even if that is wrong!
persoanlly i get a lot from this site and get to see a part of human nature normally hidden from view - its fasinating .. but then, i am a nosey sod! ;-)

I guess some people think they know the answers.Life will always have the crowds of know-it-alls pontificating where they have no education or knowledge. I just skip over the useless stuff and have fun finding the truly intelligent people on YA. Good question and I agree!

I want the 2 points. Thank you. And everybody has an opinion.
If the question is good, I'll do research. But by the time you get the answer down you're number 45.

It's even better when they go off on tangents that have nothing to do with the question.
I think it's a way for people to vent their frustrations and see their opinions in print....maybe no one else listens to them!!!!
