When you see a girl you know and like as a friend, why is it that she can greet you lively, with a huge smile, but you return an emotionless acknowledgment?

This happens to me a lot. I know that it's not that they don't like me because they always stop me to talk, but what is the reason for such an emotionless reaction?

Does the girl seem fake if she smiles when she says hello or something?

i feel like garbage. Actually these days i'm pretty sure i am crap. I would be happy with my style of speaking English but all the people around me think i'm a failure and stupid crap just because i dn't speak like them.

I speak slow, don't have broad vocabulary. Actually i don't even speak. i'm friendless, and i usually just stay to myself.

I"m also hispanic and i don't feel accepted by the sassy outgoing Americans. They criticize me so muhc because of the way i speak. Then they start speaking spanish just because i speak with a soft voice and they automaticslly assume i speak good spanish..( what stupidity . my speanish is worse!)

I could ignore comments from teens, and whatever. But it's hard to ignore it when it's coming from bosses, and coworkers. Why are they so racist! and discriminate

About two weeks ago I went to a restaurant as a guest. The people that invited me initiated a conversation with the waitress who stood there over fifteen minutes yapping and yapping. OMG! Doesn't she think I had a life, they drove. I wanted to crawl away and all she could say was, "ha ha ha I have seniority I can stay here all day if I want to." I will never return to Macaronis. Why can't they leave me and the party I am in alone? I don't need their input.

I don't realy have nothing aganist the Nazi's,as a matter of fact some of the stuff they say i agree with,but i won't say what stuff.but the only problem i see with them is, number one leave the Jews alone and number two wory more about the real treat that are some blacks and some arbics. most arbics in america are prety good people.i also agree with the Nazis on the war in Iraq. so what do u think.

I just don't understand this. There are so many weirdo's out there and with the internet it's even easier for these weirdo's to have access to these young girls. My cousin even posts provacative pictures of herself up on her MySpace page, I am always telling her what the dangers are of doing that, but it doesn't stop her. Why do young girls do this? Don't they understand that it's dangerous?

This is for one of my classes, which is called “American Culture”. My homework consists in asking American people to answer the following questions in order to know a little more about the early years of the U.S. and its first inhabitants. The questions are:
1. What nationalities were your ancestors?
2. When did your ancestors immigrate to America?
3. Does anyone in your family still speak the language of the old (original) country?
4. Does your family maintain contact with any relatives in the old country?
5. What family customs or traditions from the old country do you observe

Obviously, many of you have probably had an abortion, how did you justify this 'murder'?
Many of you will probably believe that the 'fetus' is not human. But clearly after a few months old is has finger and stuff and later on develops a brain. Isn't that like saying a mentally retarded person isn't really a person because he/she is not fully functional?
Many women don't want it because it wrecks their figures, you could have abstained from s e x ( preferably) or at the very least used a condom. Just because your shallow that doesn't give u the right to kill.

And then theres the little thing called adoption. In the western world there are queques of people lining up to adopt. So no excuses there, even if it's a product of rape you can atleast adopt it out. As for the incest argument, it takes a few generations of inbreeding to mess up the gene pool to causes any bith defects, or so I've heard.

So, how did you justify it? How can you prove that it isn't murder. thanks.

my dear friend, & underpaid ILLEGAL immigrant worker, jesus (pronounced HEY-ZEUS) sanchez was stabbed in the back, literally. but don't worry, after 17 stitches, he's alright. sore, but alright. so before the cops find out that he's not here legitimately & kick him out the country (don't worry, he'll be back, he always is), they want to find out "who done it".

It's generally pretty difficult to upset me, but something about that show pisses me off to no end. Gender roles irritate me quite a bit to begin with, and Betty, Wilma, Fred, and Barney... especially Fred and Wilma... are pretty much the epitomy of foolishness and stupidity as far as I'm concerned, a manifestion of all that is wrong with American culture, especially in past decades.

i don't get any of this "fitness water" BS, to me, water always has & always will be H2O; 1 part water, 2 parts hydrogen.
water is COLORLeSS, ODORLESS, & TASTELESS. this vitamin water stuff fits NONE of the above requirements!
so why in the HELL is it still called WATER?!?!

Many people feel that abortion is OK in the case of rape. I've often asked, "Why is a rape baby worth less than a 'regular' baby?"

But I have another question regarding rape babies and those conceived of consensual sex. What if the rape victim loves her baby regardless of how it was conceived? And what if the participant in consensual sex hates the idea of being pregnant, birthing, and raising a child?

Does this turn the tables any? I ask because I understand the reason behind being OK with abortion in cases of rape is because the mother would not love the child as much. But if the mother of the child conceived in consensual sex wants nothing to do with having a child, why is it not OK in that circumstance?

(Please do not assume that the woman who got pregnant had unprotected sex. Protection does fail.)
