There is a 17-year-old girl in Ireland who is four months pregnant, but her baby has a disorder in which part of its brain and skull are missing. If it is born it will not live for more than two days. The girl wants to have an abortion, but since this is illegal in Ireland she would have to travel to the UK to have it. She is in the care of the health service, who have contacted the police to stop her from leaving the country.

I've been in Australia for nearly 7 months. Love this place to bits but today an aboriginal (black) girl, whom i never met before stuck a piece of chewing gum in my hair as i walked by her, i'd say she was about 16 - 17 & i'm 20. I have a semi afro, it gets puffy some times and its tame other times. She was with 4 of her other friends, now i certainly as hell couldn't throw a punch @ her, as much as i'd love to...so guys what would you have done, in my situation?

I sure do. I think our world today is so sad.
Mankind is destroying nature, society is a mess, cultures are starting to all merge together to form one big stupid nothing.
I feel bad for myself and for all the generations to come.
What do you think ? why do you hate our world today?

They bully eachother so badly that kids hang themselves at 7 because of it...and in many cases the bullies TOLD them to do it.

Kids are having sex and doing drugs when they are about 11 years old at least.

They have NO respect for anyone or anything.

They are spoiled.

They have NO manners AT ALL!
When is the last time you saw some kid get up to let a senior or disabled person sit down on a bus even?!

It is ridiculous. I am only twenty years old and I cannot believe how disgusting these children are these days.

Now of course this is just a huge generalization--not all children are like this---but seriously...what the hell is up with this?!?!

My neighbors are strange, drinking heavily and raising children...they have 3 dogs in the house barking constantly..their yard is icky. I guess it is something to ponder...how do they live like that?

That in commericials that involve couples they are wearing wedding rings but in tv shows they show sex outside of marriage.Why do we have this paradox in our culture,our overall acceptance and exploitation of sex yet at the same time we are conservative?

Between African slavery and the Holucost which is worst? I say African slavery 100%. And African slavery lastad longer. So why is it that Jews know so much about thier history and Blacks don't? Why did America apologize The Holucaust which is somethong they didnt do and gave reperations? But then they say Blacks should get over it then so should Jews. (Bear with me, this is not a question about something specific but philosophical)

Sounds selfish I know but why should a person approve of something (tolerating ideas and behaviors found acceptable in recent years--mostly liberal ideas) just because society says so while being excluded from the benefits of these new ways because that said person was never conditioned or acclimated to those new ways?

Personally I just don't feel comfortable with the social situations (from the greed is good philosophy to the lets sleep with everybody philosophy and the Greek god standards applied to the way we look) and find it difficult to fit into any of these situations. And since I'm not going to benefit from any of these philosophies because I don't know how or fit in why should I approve?

During my visit to Chicago, IL when I went into stores people would look at me rudely and say stuff that indians smell bad and they are stupid. In fact my parents are from Sri Lanka, but I lived in Canada my whole life. I take a bath everyday, and I know how to speak english fluently. When the store clerk found out I was a Canadian, she started acting nice to me but before she would look at me like "who he hell are you?" This wasen't the only time it happened in other stores as well. I don't want to group all americans, so if you can please give me some awnsers to why some americans are like this? Not just Chicago, this has happened to me at a reststop in Ohio when some college students travelling in bus were passing to go inside they said comments like: I can't believe that guy is a Canadian after they saw my car plates. I'm like do you need to see my passport for proof? I don't mean to be rude, I have cousins in the US and its a good country but I feel like I was stepped on
