(Bear with me, this is not a question about something specific but philosophical)

Sounds selfish I know but why should a person approve of something (tolerating ideas and behaviors found acceptable in recent years--mostly liberal ideas) just because society says so while being excluded from the benefits of these new ways because that said person was never conditioned or acclimated to those new ways?

Personally I just don't feel comfortable with the social situations (from the greed is good philosophy to the lets sleep with everybody philosophy and the Greek god standards applied to the way we look) and find it difficult to fit into any of these situations. And since I'm not going to benefit from any of these philosophies because I don't know how or fit in why should I approve?

You don't have to do anything you don't want to do, but understand that you will have to put up with those who do do the things you don't want to do, because they can. Can you dig that, Mr. Philosopher fella?

How about approving of those situations/philosophies because you see that they contribute to good in the world? (Those that do) Does it have to benefit YOU specifically to be of benefit? Sounds like the greed is good philosophy has already taken root in you.

Try to get out of the house more and if you want approval of your disapproval well I approve of your disapproval but doubt if my approval will meet with your approval but who knows?

If I follow you... I dont think you have to approve of it, but acept that it does exist. Are you really not included, or do you choose to be excluded?

It might sound corny, but everyone is entitled to your own opinion of things concerning them. Pick your own choice, and if you want to, pick the one that others pick, or you can choose your own decision
