Ever since joining yahoo questions a short week ago i have seen no end to the postings of complaining about the treatment of black people in america, demanding appologises for something that happen 2 centuries ago and other similar "questions" yet, noone stops to think where they would be today if it had not been for slavery.. Do you people seriously think you would have been better off if you ancestors had not been carted of to the US as slaves? Would you seriously rather be in Africa right now? So please do keep things in perspective and think of the millions starving to death in Ethiopia or the genocides in Rwanda before complaining about you current 'plight'. Instead of asking for appologies, maybe a simple 'Thank you' would be in order

What if, a thousand years ago, man had looked at women as a partner instead of a possession, what would the world look like today? Yes, all you chauvinists out there, get it out of your system then pick your knucles up off the floor.

I know this is kind of an odd question, but I'm curious to know. Is there anything that you feel every adult (person over 18) should know? Like things you wish someone had told you, or just general advice about life?

Well, to get straight to the point. I am African-American and my husband is Caucasian. We are young and I was wondering if there was a place maybe online that can show up best possible places that are multicultural where we would feel comfortable living in and possibly raising our family. We were thinking about Georgia or somewhere down south because we are from Ohio and tired of snow. So, if anyone can help me out, I would highly appreciate it. Thank You

Does Amish theology stress forgiveness more than is usual in Protestant theology? Why were they able to move so aggressively and so immediately toward forgiveness? I would especially appreciate anything I could read about the Amish, their theology and forgiveness. Thank you.

17Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and then out of the body? 18But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man. 19For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies. 20These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands doesn’t defile the man.”
