Faith doesn't matter much but family does. And the multiculturalism doesn't make any difference because they're not really British.

I would like to think that British values revolve around acceptance, tolerance, integration and adaptabililty. For centuries, Britain has grown precisely because, as an island, we've had the need to bring in culture from outside, absorb it, make its bringers welcome, and see beyond such elements as the difference of colour, religion and culture.
Britain is secular - whilst we may not lead the world in technology these days, we still hold our own in pioneering thought. At the same time, everyone is welcome to worship their god or gods in whatever way they choose, and when it impinges upon the lives of individuals or in politics, Britons are savvy enough to object. Muslims and Christians only seem to come together when singling out gay people as one of the world's chief evils, but when they recently marched to protest at the anti-discrimination laws, you could not find many ordinary British people supporting them. (It's a terrible pity these two religions cannot find peace outside of their shared hatred.)
However, there are those who pin their values on outdated and fictional concepts of a Britain that never was, blind to the cruelty and ignorance inherent in such ideas. Multi-culturalism is very much a part of our British Values system, in its best form. After the arrogance of Empire, the very least Britain can do is welcome and continue to welcome those from other countries who, rightly or wrongly, feel that a better life is open to them on this island. There can be no larger flattery for a country than that others want to live there.
Cult of celebrity, celebration and reward of ignorance, sloth with knowledge, lack of consideration to the faith they profess, laziness, rejection of intelligence and racism borne of stubbornness are the worst of British traits, and yet wrapped up in those are the very things people would laud.
I am British English and have no faith but love my family and am proud to have friends of all religions and cultures. If Britain is still great, they are the reason why, along with our ability to welcome them and make them call this country home. Values that don't encompass acceptance are not worth having and should therefore not be sought.

Faith and family probably matter more since multiculturalism - they were on the decline in the 1900s and now they're back with a vengeance...

Tolerance - live and let - respect for difference. I once heard the Church of England described as "believing in nothing in particular except being nice to people" - very wise, who needs fundamentalism.
Also a belief in freedom - (even if it's being abused by consumerism and me-me attitudes).
We've got reasonably strong laws/institutions and our culture is amazingly diverse, I don't think people appreciate how rich our traditions are in music and food. I can now eat food from all over the world, well cooked and reasonably priced

Faith & family always matter, whatever the times. Multi culture adds wider views & knowledge to your own values not at the cost of forfeiting them.
