There are clubs, groups, organizations and sites both on web and in the real world that cater to people of all different social categories: community theater for aspiring entertainers, soul cafes for poets, music scenes for punk rock/emo , night clubs for gays and lesbians, churches and religious temples for soul-searchers. There are all kinds of places and social websites for everyone.

I would say that you are bound to come across someone who will like the odd person no matter what his or her beliefs, interests etc. But you have to be willing to accept the "normal" person as well. Or try finding people that are labelled like you.
