In his classic line 'I see nothing', to me indicates that at the end of the day he was just a German soldier trying to get through the war as best he could, like most other people in this situation. Regardless of whether he believed in the cause or not, he seemed like someone who was just waiting for the war to be over so he could get back to his 'normal' life.

Do you believe this to be true in general of some German soldiers, or do you believe they were all evil during WW2?

Sometimes when i'm out with my male friend i encounter prejudice from some small minded idiot about my size.
Why are there so many, totally concerned with what others look like, small minded people, ignorant, brainless people in the UK

Upon moving to the Bay Area in California I noticed that the people seem to be in a constant state of oblivion.They appear to be completly unaware of what is going on around them and not only that they seem to be incapable of excercising common sence.For example Iv'e noticed that it's becomming more common to see people crossing the street without looking either way almost getting hit by a car or people who will walk into eachother as if they can't see.Not long ago I saw a man with a little boy cross the street in the intersection with cross traffic whipping by and he almost got hit,then when the other light turned red he grabbed the little boy and did it again causing cars to slam on their brakes to stop.Is this everywhere or is it just here.I'm wanting to move really bad because I can't stand it here but first I need to know if it's just here or are people like this everywhere.

Kind of seems like if someone creates something beneficial there is another person in another part of the world creating something that would destroy. And both are locked in a tug of war to beat the other.

i am living at poverty level (from $34,000/yr. last years taxes, to less than $1000 so far this year), lost custody of my children twice, and am homeless and depressed due to the local government violating my civil rights.
