The movie starts and other celebrities are people who are in the limelight by media.
They are in the newspapers and TV and people love movies.
The lives of the common people are dull and routine, and they go to movies to forget the house and their life.
The Stars and celebrities fullfil their fantasies.
The stars could be cricket players also.
They become the heros of the common man.
When someone is a hero naturally the people will be bothered by their lives. This acts as an escape route to their boredom.
It is also a topic of conversation among people.

Usually small children use to get attracted towards celebrities out of the publicity they see in print and electronic media and seeing them in action ...say film stars in movies doing all the unbelievable acts and actions... they also get influenced out of the appreciation they hear right from their parents who have habits of discussing films in presence of their children...
However, it is a serious psychological problem if adults are getting possessed of the larger than life image of a person projected by the publicity firms... these people should know that these celebrities are common people... and most of them have below-average intellect...
Many of these celebrities are found with egoistic, jealous and arrogant nature... because they are common people having all the good and bad qualities found in humans...

I am not sure that I understand it either. People need to get a life and leave the celebs alone. For the most part their interest in the celebs (take Brits latest problems) creats the issues that they are watching.
The stalkers that put pictures in rags on the news stands are the worst of all.
If you are following celebs- let them be, they are people too, how would you feel to have a camera shoved in your face all the time, and have crap created about you just to entertain idiots that can't control their impulse buying?

I'm a self-proclaimed celebrity, and I don't see anybody caught up into me; so I have no idea what you're talking about.
Seems to me a self-proclaimed celebrity is more a celebrity than someone who became a celebrity because of external factors.
Yet no one is aware that I'm a celebrity.

I don't know, I could care less about the celebs. I think people idolize them for their fame and fortune, maybe they want to be them. I would hate being known everywhere I go. I suppose it's the grass is greener on the other side syndrome.

because people get bored with their own lives and think they have to mooch off of celebrities' lives, because the celebrities are always active doing things, so it makes people feel a part of what the celebrities are doing if the ycan follow their every move.
frankly, i think it's ridiculous! mind your own stinkin business.

Because they obviously have no life. No kids, no family, nothing, just pure boredom, or too much free time. But in their defense I keep seeing Brittany all over the News channels, Fox, CNN, BBC world. it's really kinda sad.

the media says things about celebrities that will appeal to most people and therefore we become more interested in their lives than our own reality.
