Are people the same everywhere?

Upon moving to the Bay Area in California I noticed that the people seem to be in a constant state of oblivion.They appear to be completly unaware of what is going on around them and not only that they seem to be incapable of excercising common sence.For example Iv'e noticed that it's becomming more common to see people crossing the street without looking either way almost getting hit by a car or people who will walk into eachother as if they can't see.Not long ago I saw a man with a little boy cross the street in the intersection with cross traffic whipping by and he almost got hit,then when the other light turned red he grabbed the little boy and did it again causing cars to slam on their brakes to stop.Is this everywhere or is it just here.I'm wanting to move really bad because I can't stand it here but first I need to know if it's just here or are people like this everywhere.

I've seen a fair bit of our planet earth. I've found out that people are basically the same everywhere. There may be some minor variations here and there but there is no fundamental variations worth writing home about.

I live in the UK. I have never EVER seen anything like that.
Sounds downright crazy.

Maybe you guys have busier roads or something. Otherwise i'd say no they're not like that, or not as bad. People do bump into eachother a lot but that's only idiots and usually in supermarkets or "malls" where they are distracted and in a rush

People cross without looking in Michigan too. Unfortunately, I think it happens in a lot of places.

People seem to have an uncaring, unconcerned attitude today. People just don't care about themselves and others. It's seems to be everywhere.

I think you wuld have gone to a crazy street by mistake!
Actually people are not like this everywhere : )
