Access to fresh water continues to decline due to population growth, pollution, wetland disappearance, etc. Will it cause increasing tensions? Will it be a catalyst for conflicts or will the sharing of this resource usher in a new era of cooperation among nations? Will people see such an essential resource as something to connect them and usher in an era peace?

China has announced their intention to build a Lunar base in the near future. The USA has no firm plans for doing so, yet objects to the miltiarization of space. I refer to this in the aspect of Geo-politics.

So me and two other friends from my High School were arguing the affects of Global Whoring on society and one (Tony) said its overexaggerated and people have been doing it forever. While my other guy Greg agrees with me that Global Whoring is serious and that its eroding the family because people are going around not knowing who their fathers are. Plus the whores dont promote good values for their kids by doing this especially the girls. How serious a threat is Global Whoring?

I know it's easier said than done for some to find a job but if they had a job they wouldn't be homeless. Maybe someone out there has had an experience like that or knows someone who once was homeless and struggled to rise again and become successful. What were the steps taken? How did they do it everyday? What did they do everyday? Where did they sleep? What were some agencies they went to? etc.

Please serious responses only. No wisecracks.

Thanks

Before you get all - "Ahh what kind of a question is that?", I'm asking this for research purposes. I'm writing a piece of long fiction that occurs in the early 1900's and I need some commonly used derogatory terms for accuracy. I've searched everywhere on the internet, and haven't had any luck. I've only gotten terms directed to immigrants, and that's not exactly what I'm looking for.

Sometimes when I feel like killing someone, I do a little trick to calm myself down.

I'll go over to the persons house and ring the doorbell.

When the person comes to the door, I'm gone, but you know what I've left on the porch?

A jack-o-lantern with a knife stuck in the side of it's head with a note that says "You."

After that I usually feel a lot better, and no harm done.

Think about... every single thing we do, every law we have, every school, every hospital, every war, every army everyanything(just about) is all for living a pleasurable life. Has anyone else noticed this? Sure each one does somthing different but it all comes back to pleasure.

so i was thinking the point of life = As much pleasure as possible.

Its the only thing we know is certain, our own minds endless drive to reach bliss and as much pleasure as possible, its the only thing you cant agrue like religion or science.

Some might ague that its not, and that theres other things in life, comfort, love, morals, ect ect... But those are all just diffrent forms of pleasure, so if for instance having morals = pleasure then its somthing you must do but for another person morals = not important theres no reason for that person to have morals what so ever. I think its lame how people try and tell YOU whats good in life and what YOU like the most, easiest thing in life = knowing what YOU like!

Sex is a a big part of a relationship... let alone marriage, so why would you risk being saddled with a lousy lover? It's not true that someone who's terrible in the sack can be taught to become a great lover. It's like being a good singer---either you are or aren't, and no amount of training will make a poor singer a good one. I mean, your partner can be the best for you in the world otherwise, but if he/she has the lovemaking skills of a sloth... well, you'll have problems!
It's probably a given that some older person will say "but sex is sacred... it's not meant for pure, casual pleasure!" But why can't it be? Why can't there be sex on several different levels?

Sex in the past must have been so dismal... lights off, in-and-out as quickly as possible, no hands or tongues doing any exploring.
Sheesh! I'm glad that we don't live in an age of sexual repression, aren't you?

People have done horrible things to our Earth. So is it really right to concern themselves with trival problems such as work or gossip when our fragile world is dying in our grasp. The truth is, we are killing the world, and the world is going to kill us.

Sometimes when I am chillin' out (oh lets say on the couch) I realize after a few mins. my hand is in my pants. No, not touching myself, but just my hand resting under my pants (below the naval, above the croutch). I've noticed over time that its not just me. I've seen women do it too. Does that paticular area calm the body? I dunno.........help me out.
