Because of people like you. People who are white and expect to get all the perks! JUST CAUSE THEY'RE WHITE! This law allows a little competition and you clowns start whining! What's going to happen when you're not the majority anymore? Oh I know, you can apply for Affirmative Action! - one of my answerers.

My company has to do it because they have a whopping big government contract, and part of the deal for getting the contract was to abide by affirmative action.

Its the law, and if they want any government funding, hand outs or other perks the government might be willing to pass to them they better be politically correct.
