I often visit Malaysia and hear all kinds of complaints against Malay people coming from the Chinese. Is it so difficult for the Chinese to understand that they're migrants and that they live in Malay country and as a guest they have to accept the rules of the host (if they don't want to assimilate)? Also, I wonder why the Chinese aren't leaving Malaysia if it is so bad for them there as they always say. After all - they still have their mother country: China, and can freely move there back. Can someone please answer this question for me.

In the course of reading Andrew Birkin`s superlative interpretation of the life of James Barrie, I have come to accept a couple of things: one, that the paedophile label was stuck because of Barrie`s iconoclastic approach to parenting and two, that the penchant to remain fixed in a certain period of time is in effect what is termed as `ghostly`.

It seems to be that America is stuck in a time warp....as it harps and harps and harps about life in one`s school days...whether one was pretty or ugly....popular or not....etc.

I wouldn`t refer to myself as `Ugly Betty`; but I sure as heck would, if given Thornton Wilder`s choice to Emily, seek to relive any year before 1970 (and I was born in 1943) My happiest moments, and there were a few, happened when I was well free of childhood and childhood influences.

Alan Carr can mock and ridicule and lampoon as much as he wants to....the caricature of `Sandy` in `Grease` is a nasty bit of caricature full stop.

What effect would it have on your life?

Would you even care?

Would it drive you crazy?

How many people would even go out at night if alcohol wasn't there anymore?

Does that mean that we should also tolerate racists?

the reason that this has caused such a stink, is because each and every person fits into the different roles we see in the house: Jade & Friends, a group of ignorant indviduals formed together to create a gang and abuse the minority in every other way except the one that is obvious. whether it is racism or bullying this goes on in the world today.

Shilpa, the minority who is abused by the majority and made to feel like an outsider from the word go, nothing can be done correctly every attempt to fit in fails.

the others, who stand by and do nothing to put a stop to the situation, they bury their heads in the sand and hope it will go away or they will not be the next target.

i think that channel four should be condemmed as they allowed the situation to go on unchallanged, but it cannot be blamed for some of the views that memebers of society hold. i think that the opportunity to discuss race issues, should not be wasted as we can all learn from this as individuals.

....to put an end to Race itself?

To actually become a world of Human Beings rather than the culturally rich and diverse world we have now.

If no-one had pride in their people as a race, then nobody else could offend them with racist slurs.

However, would the world be a poorer place if that happened?

My opinion - If everyone dropped their race then the world would suffer for it and the situation would not improve. Take away the racist issue and the meat-heads and the troublemakers would simply find another way to offend!

Why do you always insist on buzzing me in chat?

Why do you always private message me without my permission?

Why do you keep on assuming I'm female even though if you would check my profile, you'd see that I'm totally male? Do you check profiles in your countries?

Why do you pretend to be from countries you're not really from?

Do you know that New Poutineia, West Dakota and Fishenchepshire aren't real Canadian Provinces, American States and English counties, respectively, and if you were really from the UK, the US or Canada, you'd know that?

And why do you always insist on sexually harassing me even though I keep on telling you that I'm a STRAIGHT MALE!!!!

And to think, you people have all the tech support jobs in the world yet you don't know simple nettiquite?

I don't come over to your chat rooms, buzz you, speak in a language you don't understand and sexually harass you, so you should show us the same courtesy.

last night i heard this guy in a wheelchair having a go at this woman who had parked on the pavement, which is fair enough by me as cars shouldn't be on the pavement.

But her reply was just a string of vindictive expletives to him " You F*ing C*ing cripple" and so on.

Why are people like that these days? it wasn't this bad 20 years ago.

I am a Christian. I have read the Koran and think compared to the new testament it is not even straw. I think Hinduism is a bit over the top - Gandhi said that if christians acted like christ he would have converted. I think Buddhism is flawed. even the dalai lama said that if he were born in the west he would be a christian. I think Judaism is well surpassed by the evolution of the law in Christianity.

Tell me in a logical way what is wrong with Christianity 'love thy neighbour' 'turn the other cheek' - the teachings of Christ - and if someone manages to convince me i would drop it.

Below is a list of quotes that I think are original quotes from people I know. I say think because I’m only 100% sure about one of them.

1.A friend and I were driving and an obnoxious driver zoomed passed in a no passing lane, I made a comment and my friend responded: “guys like that they’re assholes just like you or me or anybody else”

2.I had a girlfriend who was quite smitten with me say in a moment of passion: “You could sail a ship on the ocean between my legs”

3.In her existential days at Bard College a young friend adopted a personal philosophy: “I hate you because you’re not me”

Anyone have equally interesting, funny original quotes from real people or are any of mine not original?

My grandfather was in Germany before the war and bought a copy, later meeting the author and getting it signed.

When the war broke out he returned to the UK and fought until 1946 in the far east, too scared to show anyone his souvenir in case they thought he was a spy!

He finally showed me the book the other day, with the signature sprawled across the front page, and a chill ran down my spine! He even has a corroborating photograph of him shaking hands with the young author, book open in his hand.

I have no intention of selling the item, but just wondered if you think it might have any worth?

Thanks!

There is a strong pedophile movement in Denmark and other parts of Europe, as well as in America (e.g. NAMBLA). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedophile_activism

Child porn is banned in America, although the Supreme Court has allowed text that depicts children in sexual situations. This has led to a boom in child sex stories on the Internet and these child sex stories attract many pedophiles and maybe even promote pedophilia to those unfamiliar with it.

Even though child porn pictures are banned, pedophiles can still find pictures of naked little boys and girls simply by looking at nudist sites. Typically families go to nudist beaches and as such many naked children are present in nudist pictures, which allows the pedophile to satisfy his or her desires.

Do you think, therefore, that nudist websites should be banned?
