After seeing some of the answers here (spelling wise), I can't help but wonder what our future is going to be like. I mean, spell check is in plain sight, yet it seems like no one uses it. Of course, it would be nice if we really didn't need it, but it looks like we do. (I admit that I use it when a word boggles me). Is the no child left behind actually ruining our country? What can we do to fix this huge problem? Thoughts?

an employee(driver) and employer(passenger) were in a car accident. The employer pointed to something on the side of the road atrracting the employees attention. the employee looks over briefly, turns back. The cars in his lane are at a stand still, he hits the breaks, skids into the car in front of him, that car into the one in front of it. The car they were driving was a rental. The rental company refused to cover because driver was not on the rental agreement. Both employee's and employer's personal insurance refused to cover damages. Who is to blame for the accident and who should pay for the damages. Not according to the letter of the law, but who really caused the accident and who should pay, the employee or employer?

Black - e.g Tiger Woods, Alicia Keys, etc. My view on the matter s that I identify people how they wish to be identified and will not place a label on someone unless they themselves choose that label. Halle Berry and Thandi Newton identifies themselves as Black and I therefore see them as such.

I ask as I have visited a website called Internix and quite a lot of the people there are really peeved to be referred to solely as Black and want all parts of their heritage acknowledged but American society seems to like to pigeon hole people into specific boxes for some reason...
Is this the remnants of the one drop rule??

Why do most poor people hold up those signs asking for money for their next meal, but when they get it, they spend it on booze? Honestly, as good as booze is, if I were poor, I would be much more concerned about where my next meal was coming from... I just feel bad for them and am somehow shocked that they would squander that money they took so long to accumulate to buy alcohol. I wish they realized that alcohol doesn't really take the pain away... and certainly doesn't help their situation. Does anyone know anybody poor who they talk to, anything like that? Did they drink a lot? Why? I really am curious for the answer to that question.

It could be something a friend or aquaintance said, something from TV, a bad idea for a product, maybe even a question you've seen on this site... pretty much anything. (The only exception is quoting this question as your answer.)

Why do we trust these people anyways. Just another rule. Why do we follow them into wars that they have made for their country. The people seem to follow this one little person that seems to have some kind of great power. Why? It's just a couple old fat normal humans.

It seems to be very hip. You know what I mean...the lethal combination of 'might is right', with 'ignorance is bliss', with a dash of 'popularity' for good measure...

The US is acting in the role that Britain had 200 years ago as the dominant power in the world. Before them Romans, Mongols or Greeks.

Is it like Darwins theory of survival of of the fittest and the strong ruling the weak. We can complain but it's allways going to happen. In 50 years time we might be dominated by the Chinese or Indians....opinions please.
