The answer is in your question, THEY ARE STUPID

ive been fortunate to have met some very clever people - heres something ive learned from them - if you correct someone in such a way that they know they are being corrected then you make them FEEL stupid - this is a feeling almost everyone will resist - because its an idea almost no one wants to deal with - so heres what you do ..... figure out a way to correct someones point of view without making them feel like you are doing it - the method of achieving this has alot to do with admitting that their point of view has some validity but there is also another way to look at it

(and if you add that you dont really know what the best answer is, but you need their help to try to sort this thing out because you too are kind of stuck in the middle of this question right along with them that helps alot )

in other words if you push something in someones face and tell them its their problem ..... their brain will turn off because they will get defensive ...and .... they wont buy it -

but if you say "hmmm i see what you mean ,.but doesnt that also leave US with this problem too, so how do we fix that part ??" they will sit up and really try to fix it - thats when their brain turns on

so, ironically, if you were smarter (about people) you would probably run into this problem of stupid people a lot less

Dont 'try' to correct what u disagree. Just tell them why u disagree.
Everyone are entitled to form their own opinion based on what they believe to be true.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. What gives you the right to say someone elses opinion is stupid?
