forget every preconceived notion you've ever learned. seek your Higher Power from your heart. if you don't feel serenity concerning a situation then leave it alone and wait until you do.

and if you do feel at peace about a decision or whatever by all means GO WITH IT. people may turn on you, even family but things will turn out okay if your are truly seeking what i choose to call GOD. family has turned on me before and probably will again very soon. BUT I WILL STICK TO MY GUT FEELING. there is a very fine line between unconditional love and enabling wrong doing. AND I WON'T BE AN ENABLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

obviously your religion is a problem, rather than the drinking.

However if l was a Mormon l would have to be a moron..

the cultism of Mormon was writtin by someone who wanted to rule women and had a very deep mental fixation on child brides, so he wanted to try to have a society in which he would find acceptance with his strange dellusional beliefs.

And this in itself is a moronic principle.

SO the actions of drowning one's sorrows in alchol is a result of avoiding the stupidity of the choices they have made...

There is hope, leave.
