2 days ago, in one of my high school classes, a teacher was talking about prejudices and relationships and how our behavior can a lot of times reenforce the prejudices people have about us young folk. He mentioned that my generation has been hailed by many adults as the X generation. { X meaning wrong as opposed to a check mark meaning right.} He said that many people have put us away in a box, deeming us as a lost cause and that, to many people, if every single member of my generation were eliminated , if they could just X us out, and skip on to the next generation, life on Earth would be better. The chief reasons being that my generation is seen as having no moral values, no respect for others, and no respect for ourselves. Although, personally, I don't consider myself to be a lost cause or believe that my generation should just die, I must say the stuff about my generation being disrespectful, etc, a lot of times, it's true. What do you think our future will be as adults?

But if you ask a decent, normal question you get 6 or 7 answers maybe. Isn't there more decent people out there than that??

My 13 year old daughter's teacher is behaving terribly toward her.

My daughter is a very independent and quiet girl. She gets good grades and doesn't have emotional issues. However, I suppose it is because she is so quiet, her teacher has decided she must be "depressed". He has suggested counseling to her and has asked her if she cuts herself. This has made my daughter uncomfortable and she is very put off by him, probably adding to his suspicions, because...

Today, another student was acting very quiet, and her teacher asked, "What's the matter with you? Are you on drugs? You're acting like her", and he pointed to my daughter.

I made an appointment to talk with the principal on Tuesday. Is it a violation of her rights if they ask to see her arms?

She sleeps in shorts and is sitting next to me in a tank top right now, and I assure you there are no markings on her skin.

I'm a white guy from the UK who loves hip-hop, but it is sad to see the struggles that the average black man has to go through in America today.

Will things ever change?

Ok. Ask yourself truthfully. Truthfully. Do you believe black people are gangsters, pimps and drug dealers and they all call eatchother the n word? Well if all you ever did was watch TV then im sure that is what you would believe. Especially MTV. Who's interest is it in for society to have this negative image of black people? The T.V. stations aint run by black people and the raido stations aint run by blacks. If we only saw red neck whites in the media, what do you think society would think about whites, especially if there were no whites in leadership roles. Think about it.

During the holiday season we all see the volunteers in front of every store taking donations for those less fortunate. The problem is, I give to the first store that I go to and then it becomes an issue of not making eye contact or "avoiding" certain doorways for the rest of the day. This seems weird. Does anyone else feel this way?
