I have asked a question concerning a tragedy in Chicago and someone asked me "Why would I ask a question about that tragedy in their state?" Do they not realize that when you are on the internet, that people from around the entire world is connected to answers.com?

I am not able to understand on what basis it is assumed that the questioner assumes that the answerer is from his home state Of course he may hope that somebody from his home state would come across this in Yahoo answer and care to reply. One more thing the events discussed are sometime so well-known that even a person living away from the state (or even the country) can offer useful answers. I am from India but I could offer some cogent information about some Musical Concert in distant USA. Fortunately, the questioner found it so realistic he wrote me back asking me where I was watching the show from--from inside the threatre or from the lawn outside.Remember when we are at Yahoo answers we are all citizens of the same world(which we really are) which dissolves all the Berlin walls between us.
