I suppose I had a fairly a-typical childhood for our day and age. I was a real tomboy and I spent summers outside making dens and having 'adventures' with my friends. A friend I met recently had a totally different childhood, and spent her years wanting to be and acting older. She wore makeup at 9, heels at 10, got a boyfriend at 11, first went clubbing at 13 and lost her virginity at 15. I wore makeup at 13, heels at 15, got a boyfriend at 16 and don't go clubbing much even now.

We got to talking about our childhoods, and my friend says she really regrets trying to grow up too fast. She feels that she has lost her childhood. However, she is much more street-smart than me and has got me out of a number of sticky situations. Myself, I find that my childhood did not prepare me for the adult world. I don't often feel safe doing these more "grown-up" things and I often wish I was a child again just so that I wouldn't have to cope with it.
Which of us do you think got the better deal?

OK, so let them delete this, but this is an HONESTLY embarrassing problem that I am SERIOUS about! Sometimes it doesn't all come out (number 2) and I hate walking around that way...bleh! What do people do, if anything? Thank you.

We always here about the need for charity when the root of the problem appears to be over population in under developed countries. Can we address this issue with a more common sense approach or is the world still clinging to their puritan instincts?

Other or even just starting a light hearted conversation with another normal person, like for instance on a train on the way home from work it is amazing how distant we have all become what are folk so scared of.The only time we are comfortable talking with a stranger or even asking them for a date is when were drunk or have worked with or known this person for some time.some folk need to get out more and see that there is an amazing world out there go grab it im going to.Enjoy it while it lasts and you dont need money it is only a burden

Do you think that racism comes in fads? For example, prior to Hitler's Nazi reign, there was a Western anti-semitic mood & now there is an anti-Mexican feel & most people don't really know why they dislike these people! These are just a few examples. You can answer with your own examples of racist 'fads' & your opinion on the subject.

Not necessarily in a ralationship or in a friendship, but in general, in life? Can you get by using other qualities? On a scale of 1-10 how much weight should smarts receive? If your favorite celebrity was any more/less intelligent would they still be your favorite? How about your favorite person in your real life? I've gotten conflicting answers from people I know, so I'd like to ask you all...

If you pay attention to the people they present, you will always see a heavy unattractive guy with a thin attractive woman. Why do they do that, that doesn't reflect real life. Is it because the networks are primarily owned by males and they want to make men think that if they're fat and lazy and stupid it doesn't matter, they'll still get the girl?

There are people out there that hate you for no apparent reason, they just hate you beacuse someone else does. When your alone with them they talk to you nicely and like your best friend. I'd like to know why it is that some people are like this?

Today is my B-day, so we went out last night,
And I told the waitress about my b-day,
She brought us some shots and brought out this huge wooden paddle, and made me stand there in front of everybody and gave it to me good!
I must have taken ten wacks with that thing, and it hurt!
Has anyone ever seen anything like that at a restaurant before?

I see so many stupid people in chat rooms, on message boards, etc talking about how much they hate Americans. Most of us oppose this war in Iraq, so why hate all of us for it?
