Put a fork in his career. He is done. His rant makes Mel Gibson look like a paragon of tolerance.

The reason why I ask this question, is because I would like to hear different opinions on this topic. With so much pressure in the media, from work, our peers, maybe family... I am interested to find out what you did to combat these issues and how you apply that in present day...

I am American. My husband plays a video game online with several guys from the U.K. They got offended when he called them British and insisted on being called English. Is this a geographic preference, or is this some sort of class distinction? Does everyone feel this way about it? I want to understand so that I don't accidentally offend someone. I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!

Faehrenheit instead of Celcius
Inches instead of centimeters..
even the voltage in electricity is different

I mean, the whole world is going one way, Americans the other.. why's that? (I'm not criticizing or anything.. I'm just wondering)

Would the shopping mall be a good place to hang out and collect my thoughts? How busy can it be the day after Thanksgiving? People will be too tired to shop.

Why can't I just teach them in class without having to spend most of the lesson on discipline? How do we overcome this?

I have noticed that now and again some people give such nasty answers. Why, is it really necessary.
For instance i wrote about how i got all dressed up and then just couldn't go shopping , i was scared. Why did a certain person call me mad. I hope you just had a mad moment and did not mean it. I am not mad, thank you very much.
Now the same with the British question. No need to be so rude ok, i don't sit in front of my computer all day, as a matter of fact my hubby is coming home to a huge roast Pork dinner tonight or tea whatever you prefer to call it.
If you cannot think of anything nice or kind to say , dont say anything at all. Got it.

Why don't they want to learn anything?
It's seems they have so much that they aren't hungry for more.
Oh yeah, their attention span is like zero.

some one asked me the other day if i was happy....though i have been asked that before, it got me thinking...
first off my answer to that question has always been,"who the hell is really happy anyways" i feel that happiness is a moment to moment feeling...not something that can be attained and held on to for a long period of time...i believe the most one can strive for is contentment....if your content than what more is there ?????
so now i ask all of you ...are you happy ? or am i just that screwed up ? ( i know the answer THAT question)

Japanese, Chinese, Korean chicks all seem to raise two fingers to the camera like a peace sign when photographs are taken.
Is this the peace sign or does it mean something different?

I am originally from England and in England and Europe on a whole interracial dating is not frown upon....in fact people do not care. Since moving here (USA), it seems that most people think it is inappropriate. To be more specific - a black/African-American dating a White/Caucasian is wrong!?! I interracially date and people scream nasty blurbs at me and my date. Why is okay for Asian and Latinos to date whites/Caucasians, but not black/African-Americans to do so? After all aren't we all human beings? Isn't life too short not to be happy?

Hearing this phrase recently when someone was referring to a friend (we laughed) I wondered whether there was actually anything behind the usage.

I was taken to this site and found this has been asked before, and the previous answer was just suggesting that people were a bit brazen by this phrase, obviously what it means today (not literal).

But I have seen elsewhere a red hat did actually signify a prostitute...can anyone else shed any more light on this?

"Red hat no drawers refers to prostitutes in London during the war, because prostitution was illegal they would wear a red hat,so punters would recognise them,i was told this by many returned soldiers after the war."

I was just wondering what type of person is drawn to this site. Not so much your profession but more of what your natural 'soul voice' is within you. Are you more the sarcastic / bored type, keen minded / creative thinking, deep thinker, edgy with an attitude, shy, writer, musician, artist, curiouis of people (what goes on in their head), in search of answers etc. I know a person can be a blend of any of these...yet what would your primary ' type ' be? I have my thought of the answer...but wanted to ask here.

but the way I see it is If it wasnt for my great, great, grandfather fighting in the cival war, then Micheal Jordan and Denzel Washington, would still be pickin cotton in the field. Some one answered a question with this answer. All I can say is GOD bless your little heart. I really believe that some people are very naive to the facts of slavery and even society today. But to set the record straight none of his white ancestors fought in the civil war to end slavery They fought for a central government they wanted america to be a union and for that they decided to free slaves to get them to fight with them. This was a business deal not a lets free the slaves plan All white people say is get off welfare and stop gettin any other government aid But I look at it like this black people made this country rich with free labor and unfair wages. Black people are light years behind white people as far as economics So why do white people look at black people as leeches?

My bf and I are currently oceans apart over a month ago. We've been together for nearly 4yrs. I broke up with him because everytime when he's partying with group of friends he's often "high" or chronic (pot). He's somewhat a nice guy but when he gets exuberant and high he nis totally the opposite from what he is when he's clean/normal. I don't smoke, though drink in a rare occasion but moderately. This afternoon when i phoned him he sounded so fvcked up, slurred which I could hardly understood what he was saying. I get tired of this and I don't want to marry someone who has this kind of filthy habit. I love him but he cannot compromised with my personal standard. Did I make the right decision? Or should I say it's ok he can stick with his dirty habit as long as I don't. But it hurts me when I see/know he's not they way he is. Would you not care about it? What if your bf/husband or partner was a pot-head wouldn't you care?

Dead people don't need their money. Why should they be able to leave it to people to get an unfair start in life.

Everybody could be taxed less on their income tax instead.
