Would the shopping mall be a good place to hang out and collect my thoughts? How busy can it be the day after Thanksgiving? People will be too tired to shop.

Yes, the shopping malls are a ghosttown the day after thanksgiving. I go there year after year to experience the peaceful irony of being in a public market with no customers, just the lonely and far-away stares of the shopkeepers and clerks as they yet again hope against hope that the turkey's tryptophan and the post-holiday stress have worn off and brought people to the stores. I'm thankful that I have this oasis and feel a little uncomfortable that you're thinking of doing the same thing but I figure you're in a different part of the country and therefore I won't see you. Good luck on this once-a-year experience; it's amazing how the mind can settle down when it experiences such solitude and quiet.

The mall would be great, but I think you should take a lawn chair and sit in the toy department at Walmart....or the electronic department.
Speaking of Wally world, at our local store they sell ski masks right next to.....what else......the guns?!

I will not be shopping today, but the Christmas season is the only time I do enjoy going to the mall. Not on Black Friday but afterwards. It's so festive and there are so many people to watch. If you could find a corner of the mall to sit down and not be in danger of getting trampled, it probably would be amusing to just sit and watch shoppers today. Have a nice Friday, Gorky.

A small pitcher of Manhattans with an better sprint of cherry juice... ft up on a cushion with a plate finished of crackers, cheese and thinly sliced problematical salami, with Mozart contained in the heritage and dimmed lights... For years, this became my common Friday evening recurring, even as i became operating for a paycheck. Now, retired, i'm no longer constrained to Friday...
