Yes, they are spoiled alright. Also, they have stuff we didn't have, that make them wanna do anything else but study (like tv, computers, playstations etc). But believe me, you wouldn't wanna see the other side of the coin. I grew up in a communist country (Romania) and we had tv for 2 hours a day, from 8 to 10 pm, when I was already in bed, so I've learned to read and write when I was 5 and I've read hundreds of books by the time I was a teenager (we had nothing else but books, dolls were expensive and I had only 3 all my life and no other toys). Now I wish I could turn back time and have a lot of fun instead of reading. I would gladly trade my IQ to heal the wounds in my heart. So let the kids play and be spoiled! ;)

yes we have raise kids today to only play computer games live a lazy life . they don't get out side any more i know i have some of my own . my kids never want to leave there PS3 or xbox never want to just do thing outside explore like kids.they will never be as strong and well rounded as we were or our parents was .kids seam only to have a three track mind today cloths/ phones /and computer games

Sadly to say it's bad parenting- the quick fix to shut a kid up - get her or him out of your hair, guilt from not seeing your kids [working] or trying to be a better parent because your parents were a**holes ,overdoing the role -pick one -when you say spoil are you arrange that with learning disfunction, because I think of a condition that, kids are used to getting what they want.

YES YES YE!!!!!!!!!!!!.my niece will be 8yrs old on christmas eve and and already she has a cell phone,portable dvd player,vcr,her own phone in her room and the list goes on and on.and she doesnt appreciate not a thing.so YES i agree that kids nowadays are spoiled and that allows them to treat society as if it owes them something
