There is a long oral tradition of children's rhymes used in games they play going back centuries. I am speaking here of rhymes generated by children themselves, not those handed them by adults. These rhymes appeared to have a life of their own almost, changing over time as a living organism or language itself. In the 21st century is this pastime still viable, an ongoing childhood activity with rhymes still evolving and changing over time, or have modern electronic devices like the Ipod pierced the heart of the activity with a wooden stake, so to speak, sending it to its final resting place? Don't really mean to compare children to vampires, that was just the image that came first to mind to express the thought.

My grandmother found a collectors spoon, back in the 1940's and it is from the Zia Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq. It is very old and solid silver. She wanted to know if its worth anything, but I can't seem to find any info on the place. Thanks for any help.

It was my third day at a waitress job in a Japanese resteraunt

i dont know the food, or anything and they barely trained me

everybody warned me about the owners wife-a korean lady who is called "mama san" they said she is horrid

When i first met her she grabbed the water pitcher out of my hand and said LISTEN in broken english then read me all the rules

she continued to yell at me in front of everyone and said "you move tooslow move move" and pushed my back. When i had a server tray in my hand and she needed a tray she grabbed it out of my hand and used it for herself

the customers saw how she was treating me as they could hear what was going on in the back

i went in the bathroom and cried and another waitress came in crying too because she felt terrible this lady was treating me this way

a customer came in the bathroom and told me to call the police, that it is harrassment

i did-and the police came and told her she cannot do this

is this normal for this job

I have been researching to find the roots of Kshatriyas where I got confused and thats why I wanted to ask this question. Are Kshatriyas in India only in Forward class or even in Backward class. I see lot of subdivisions in Kshatriyas today Somavanshi, suryavanshi, chandravanshi etc. As far as I know there are only four gothras for Kshatriyas. Can someone tell me how these classifications came in? Under which category do Pandavs from mahabharath come in?

They seem to love their veil and being told what to do. Maybe they actually like all the attention from the media.

Almost every Indian I've met has the last name Patel. And most of them have first names that are so hard to pronounce that they say: "Just call me Patel." I worked at a company where there were 32 Indians, 30 of whom were Patels. Why are there so many Patels?
