How can some people be so hardened?

A ''holier than thou'' attitude toward them--------------
My mother was considered the sweetest and most religious woman in my small town. Ha! If people had known the way she was in her home! When it came to illegitimate children--------she would not allow her children to associate with them, as they are not worth her children's time. They were sinners. They would never be accepted in society (her genteel society). I have to laugh because she ended up having two great-great grandchildren that she HAD to disown because they were not worth having around. Two of my grandchildren did not marry, yet have a good living relationship with their partners and have beautiful children. My mother missed so much because of her ''holier than thou'' attitude.

Mostly because of religious fanaticism, I would guess. Some people actually believe that an illegitimate child is less in the eyes of God than a legitimate child. That's bullshit, of course, but a sad reality anyway. As for orphans, well anyone who treats one badly isn't really human at all. Have a heart!

Some people may be religious fanatics but that's no excuse because the Bible says that no child should be judged upon his/her father/mothers actions and visa versa. I think for some it just brings up pain in there hearts, especially if they've been cheated on. But still it is no excuse to blame an Innocent child even if the child is now grown to adult hood. Others may just have high views of themselves. A holier then though type of thing.

Unfortunately some people are just idiots. To be mean towards any children is just ridiculous. There is no excuse for it.

because some people are stuck up and need to get back to the real world. i dont know why people are like this but it is very immature and narrow minded.
