You see adverts on tv about some tribe living in say Africa and the Commentator says"little amed has to walk six miles for fresh water.Why oh why dont they just move the house nearer the water,its not rocket science,and before some do gooder has a go yes I do support charities.

Just wondering because a lot of posts on here from blacks regarding racism is actually a form of racism so I was just confused how this can happen. Enlighten me, will you?

Case Study - I go to an upscale lounge (predominantly black) with my non-black husband and we get stared at and even sometimes get rude service from waitresses. Should I understand and accept this? After all, blacks were victims of slavery and racism.

Now, if roles were reversed and he took me to a predominantly white establishment where the same thing happened, I could raise bloody hell.

This isn't cool. What do you think?

In Europe and other parts of the world,it is the norm.In the USA,these people are considered 'losers'.I don't get it.
By the way,I am in the USA,41,and live with my husband and 4 children.I have not lived with my parents for 20 years now,but really see nothing wrong with it if that is what the person chooses,they help pay bills,the parents don't mind,etc.
What do you think?

It's been a godawful morning. I had a flat tire, on the only day this week I was due in at the office. The tech couldn't do a flat repair, so I had to replace the tire. The guy I worked for chewed me out for being late, even though I called about once every fifteen minutes from the time I got the flat and no one answered the phones.

How do I make this day not suck so much?

And people and family and relationship and love become secondary or totally unimportant? When did greed and money become worth more than friendship and love.

Now remember money is not commudity backed and is really worthless it is as good as the name of the Government and thats it. Odd people fight and kill over green pieces of paper, the world is crazy.

Should the major aspects of most world religions be taught in schools along side the science of evolution?
Should these all be taught in a non push attitude that leaves the final idea, or concept up to the individual?
Should schools be allowed to teach a partisanship idea as fact, if the student is raised to believe in another idea, or culture?
Where does the seperation come in as far as personal and religious beliefs and the freedoms of these beliefs, and the restrictions of these beliefs by a government operated learning establishment?

WHY do peple drive like a bunch of friggen maniacs in parking lots? Its not a race, and to get a closer stop, h e l l, it's usually the ones that need to walk to lost some weight that are fighting for a close up spot.

I am christian and have been believer for 21 years and I know without a doubt that I have a soul and becuase of that I also know there is a loving God who has given me the choice to be with him when I die in heaven or in hell if I choose not to believe in Him.Now I would like get some answers to what an athesist believes happens to them when they die.Seems sad to think that some people would devalue themselves by believing they do not posses a soul.

Rainbow Sheep? Coffee with Milk? Ok, so the sheep being traded in 'ba ba black sheep' could be taken as something to do with the slaves trades. But we can't seem to say anything anymore without it being vetted. And perhaps this is just me, but I have never met a black person who is offended by being called black. Same with white people. If I said 'coloured' perhaps they would be, I don't know. I myself would probably be more offended if someone shouted 'whitey.' And what really annoys me is the English/British thing. On forms it normally say 'White, British.' But I'm English first, British second. Welsh people get to be called Welsh, Scottish people are Scottish. But althought we are all British it seems only to be the English that are reffered to as British. My Grandad has gone so far as to cross out 'British' on offcial forms and replace it with 'English.' What does everyone else think?
