I wouldn't mind if the services we paid for were decent, good transport, health care, schools etc, but in my neck of the woods (i.e. North London) they're at best mediocre.

I frequently correspond with my local MP, I vote at all elections, I often go to rallys and demos when I feel things are injust, but whilst doing that I think 2/3 of this country just doesn't give a s**t and just accepts whatever's put its plate.

Why can't we take it upon ourselves, at least once in a while, to stick it to policy makers, institutions and corporations and say no we're not going to accept 3 quid for a zone one ticket or no I'm not going to wait 6 months for my operation...you nkow take a piece of the old French spirit and have some bloody back bone!
