Firstly, I don't think they're all that. Why are they such an "inspiration" to young girls -- because they're stick thin and tiny? Have you people seen the number of "ana (anorexia) diaries on Xanga? And I've noticed that most of their inspiration comes from the Olsen twins. "Mary-kate Thinspiration" -- what the heck?

The thinspiration/pro-'ana' movement is sick and disgusting.
I don't find either of the twins at all attractive. I didn't even think they were cute when they were younger!

I don't see them as inspiration either. Kids dont' know any better. They just pick out what stars are close to them in age that are popular. Mary-Kate and Ashley sell so many of their products at Wal-Mart, and you know , EVERYONE shops at Wal_mart. So the kids see the young faces of the twins and want to buy their stuff. The twins are 18 but still have a child's face, making them look like kids who try to be adults but are still kids.

they're a bunch of girly 'role models', teaching us all how to jam a toothbrush down our throats and steal stupid Paris Hilton's mega rich Greek boyfriend (no, the Stavros guy). In reality, they are far from role models -- girls should have realistic role models with healthy figures rather than painfully thin idiots who pout at the camera (ahem, Keira Knightley). The role models should have ambition and self-respect, rather than being celebrity seed buckets.

ok i received't be a guy yet i imagine they appear like trolls and become thoroughly freaked out at the same time as on the present episode of Weeds between the troll twins become dry humping a guy and smoking a joint, I watched them as children YIKES

they are attractive, but they were smart enough to use their good looks to make careers for themselves and become VERY success full, that's inspirational
