I agree we have a serious problem. Read an interesting fact in the daily telegraph stated that 750,000 eastern europeans are expected to migrate to the UK this year, up from 350,000 the year before. In addition to all the immigrants (legal and non) that also enter the country. Also on average 300,000 people from the UK leave each year.
As such they argued that over the term of labour's five year government 1/10 of the population will have changed from native English to migrant/ immigrant.
Not good. Even if the migrants from eastern Europe are here for work (unlike most of the immigrants), they are still a heavy burdon on our civil services and so the government is struggling to find the money to pay for the extra hospitals, doctors and schools needed.
In addition to the fact that house prices are being driven up as demand keeps rising due to the increasing size of the population...

Look, we haven't run out of space. I know it must feel that way in the South East of England but, for the life of me, I can't understand why people stay there, piling on top of one another. You'll be living in hutches next. There is life beyond St Albans. I've got miles of empty beaches outside my door and miles of empty hills just outside the town. And I've got an NHS dentist.
Immigrants do not run the NHS, the government runs the NHS and the government has screwed the NHS. It's their fault there are no dentists because of the crackers contracts they have developed. It's their fault there's no night cover by doctors because of the crackers contracts they developed there too. Immigrants didn't do that. It was Tony who did that in a break from imagining weapons of mass destruction. In fact, here in Scotland, we are importing dentists - immigrant dentists - from Poland to try to sort out the mess.
The awful truth is that the guys behind 7-7 and those alleged to be behind yesterday's business are not immigrants. They were born here, brought up here, schooled here. We bred them for ourselves. I don't understand it, but that's the truth.

I do not think that your opinion makes you racist. I agree with you and I am not racist this is how I feel about this subject:
Will we still be the Country of choice and still be America if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in America because it is the Country of Choice??????
Think about it!
All we have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS?
I celebrate Christmas...........but because it isn't celebrated by everyone..............we can no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has to be Season's Greetings.
It's not Christmas vacation, it's Winter Break. Isn't it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holiday?
We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that.
This says it all!
This is an editorial written by an
American citizen, published in a
Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please!
IMMIGRANTS,
NOT AMERICANS,
MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we
are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11,
we have experienced a surge
in patriotism by the majority
of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had
barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about
the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to ! America.
Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants.
However, there
are a few things that those
who have recently come to
our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.
This idea of America being a
multicultural community
has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans......
we have our own culture, our
own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language.
Therefore, if you wish to become part
of our society, learn the language!
"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan.. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women.......on Christian principles.............
founded this nation..... and this is clearly documented.
It is certainly appropriate to display it
on the walls of our schools.
If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as
your new home.........because
God is part of our culture.
If Stars and Stripes offend you, or
you don't like Uncle Sam, then you
should seriously consider a move
to another part of this planet.
We
are happy with our culture and have
no desire to change, and we really
don't care how you did things where
you came from.
This is
OUR COUNTRY,
our land, and our lifestyle.
Our First Amendment gives every citizen the
right to express his opinion and we
will allow you every opportunity to do so!
But once you are done complaining....... whining...... and griping....... about our flag.......
our pledge...... our national motto........or our
way of life....I highly encourage you to
take advantage of one other Great American Freedom.......
THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.
It is Time for America to Speak up
AMEN

Totally agree, my son has been in the army for 7 years has a wife and 2 children, served in Kosova , Bosnia and is now in Iraq , can't come out because he's been told won't stand a chance of getting a council house because Immigrants come 1st and to buy one "impossible on army pay" so yes we have certainly let in by far to many immigrants, and it comes to something when your classed as the "ethnic minority" in your in your own city. Stop immigration and stop it now before its to late for every ones sake.

Yes, it is time we closed our borders to EVERYBODY who wants to live here. The government cant keep pushing this country to its limits for fear of being called racist. It is destroying the country. Other countries do not allow this many people in to destroy all public services, I thought a government was supposed to protect its citzens??? The process should now be put into reverse and some should be sent home now.

More people might fight in your corner if you were to direct your anger towards the twits in government and not those who come to our country. Don't tell me that you would refuse something that was handed free to you on a plate!
I have to agree that the borders should be closed now for the sake of everyone who bides on our beautiful but tiny island.
The flood gates should never have been opened in the first place.
No! those of us who feel strongly enough about it should make our voices heard at Number 10! Just like the French people make their voices heard. We have been so brainwashed that we are in danger of becoming a nation of wimps.
We should remember that 'Words Are Mightier Than The Sword' But would you and your cronies listen though Prime Minister Blair? I would like to think so, but I personally have lost complete trust in this government who was elected by the people for the people.

We need more border control to stop the immigrants. However we should allow those in danger into our country. Also the benefit system should be looked into as some immigrants get loads & don't bother to learn our language or about our laws etc. They live in close knit communities & are often unwilling to integrate into our society - maybe they should have to prove that they will make the effort to fully integrate & if they don't they get kicked out.
